Also one of the most important things if you are going to make a long swim is to have a sword. Easy to run out of ammo or have them hear you if double gunning and getting sharknado'd.

If you’re being chased by a pvp ship and you have the time sometimes you can drop 1 guy with all chests stacked on the rowboat and try to hold the other shops attention on your main- it worked for me 1 time lol
Did that once, but was soloing 😅. Ship sunk before I hit the outpost

@@OverlordZephyrosthat doesn't work anymore - any loot (and your barrels) get teleported back outside the shroud now if you do that.

A lot of people have prized treasure steals, my prized steal is when I yoinked another crew's ship from the outpost and got into a fight with it.
Actually wanting to see a guide like this, always tried shenanigans like you but always failed, hopefully after this I’ll get better at thieving!
Well now I’ll practice the sneak without steeling… and just see what kind of trouble I can get into.
Hitbo is an awesome pirate. I love him since he plays the funny way. He make great content, sometimes even out of nothing.
I like to contribute with some of my thought on the approach.
3:07 If I have a bad mermaid spawn then I will go directly up on the boat and tuck asap as long as I hear nothing on the ship. If I hear something I will go to the Island and tuck on a rock or go to a tower, or maybe just wait for the guy to leave the ship. But if I have a good mermaid spawn and if there is a sloop or a brig I'll stay on the boatladder and listen, I try to localize the crews positions before I do anything more. I ask myself, "How many are shooting on the island, Is there anyone on the ship, did someone recently shoot out to the island, did kegs just explode? I also check if I see the island and in that case can I see anyone?
If there is a galley or an alliance on the worldevent there will also be more eyes that can spot me or my merm so then I will not wait on the ladder unless I know somebody is on the ship. If I'm unsure if it is clear to board I will just climb up so that I can see without leaving the ladder and have a fast look.
I need to add this also, If I can see a chat comment "I NEED HELP" I know at least 2 persons are most likely on the island.

One thing I like to do when I'm solo and leaving my ship is to throw up an emissary flag so I'll get a free notification if my ship happens to sink while I'm tucking at the event.

My first steal was i happened upon a brig parked at an island and they had a reapers bounty and a bunch of kings chests and I managed to snag a few chests and bury them on the island and then tucked on the ship and after they pulled into port merrick I started selling their loot WITH them and it took a minute for them to realize I was not in their crew

Out of pure curiosity, when you steal the chest at 10:26, and the crew didn't catch on... it would be so confusing when they go below deck and can't find the chest right? Like they'd think it's some of glitch and the chest disappeared? Or do these heists happen so often that they'll just assume a skilled thief came aboard?

Do you have any tips about "mermaid management", by there I mean, half of my tuck attempts ends up with a guy seeing a very akwardly placed mermaid, and when I try to get it moving, it ends up respawning in the exact same spot. How do you get arround that ? is this part of the "luck" you mentionned in this video ? Thanks in advance

HOW DO YOU LUNGE? IT'S NOT INTUITIVE FOR ME
I hope you figured it out, but just in case: hold block, hold attack, then jump as you hear the "schwiing" sound effect it makes. If you want a better sound cue to practice until you get the timing down, stand on something wooden or stone, look down as you do the charge and try to jump when you hear the thunk or clang sound of the sword hitting the ground.
But wait... All that for a chest that gives you 20k?

Seems like a lot of effort for less gold than you could make on your own.
It’s not about the gold, its about the glory lol the adventure.
Nice video but just some thoughts about your mic placement. Your 'p' and 'b' sounds are VERY loud. 1:02 'Once you PHind yourself a rowboat' To make that a bit less impacting, maybe move your mic so that its pointed at your mouth from like a 45 degree angle from your mouth?? It should lessen those p's and b's. You dont gotta do it at all... just a thought!

A little late but here is my tip: If you're doing an event an you see a mermaid that isn't obviously yours, there is someone there FOR SURE.
