A wonderful refreshing video, your warm commentary bringing the stencil ideas to life. The prints like stories inviting us in each created with waste, become treasures. So Inspiring we all will be seeing ideas in the plastic we no longer use. You tube has many videos and amazing artists, you are one of the most inspiring. Love your art that surrounds you so colourful and so full of life. Thank you for sharing.👏👏👏👏❤❤❤
Hi Wendy. Thank you for your very kind words. It is nice to know that you appreciate the details and care put into the video and art. With so many other videos out there, I sometimes wonder if it is worth the effort to edit and share this way. Comments like yours are encouraging. I also put a lot of love and attention into the more in-depth art play dates I offer if that interests you. Thanks again and well wishes, Jules
You're very welcome! I'm glad that you see the possibilities. I've had a lot of fun experimenting with more elaborate designs and various supplies in the Inktastic adventures. 🥰
Thanks, Rika! I've been having a lot of fun with it and making more elaborate ones for the art adventures that I host. Have you made any of your own before?
@@julesostara I tried a couple of times and was disappointed with the results. After seeing your video I feel like trying again. I think that the cutting through the edge might make the whole process more enjoyable for me. 💕🤗💕
@@rikadehombreux4573 Yes, it makes it soooooo much easier! Especially with this material. I hope you have a much more satisfying experience next time. 🥰
Yay! I'm so glad you found it encouraging. It's fun and good to repurpose packaging! I have used cereal boxes for stencils, too, but the plastic holds up better for reuse. I also use repurposed boxes for mailing! Great ways to conserve resources while getting creative. Thank you for watching and sharing your experience. 🥰
Hi Jules. This is right up my alley. I've been saving and washing plastic packaging and also potato chip packaging to make my own stencils. Then I'd like to use them to make my own collage papers. I still need to sit down and design and cut them out and see how they work. I hope to use them on a gelli plate mainly. Subscribed and looking forward to looking through your channel. Have a great day.
Yay! I'm so glad that you found it worthwhile and are finding ways to repurpose packaging. I do lots of collage papers and more elaborate stencils in the Year of Color course. There will be another free sampler session of that in the New Year (the sampler only features the collage paper session though, not the stencils which is for those who purchase full access). I'll be sending out an email with sampler week info when the time comes so you may want to subscribe there as well if you haven't already from ThriveTrue.com Have fun creating!
@@julesostara good to know that Larissa is running that again. The last time she ran it I think it conflicted with another year long course free samplers or it was right near it. I just had art class overload so even though I had signed up to view the event I hadn't followed through with watching any of the free classes. I did sign up for your newsletter so I'll be on the lookout for your announcement to sign up from your link. It's always nice to meet new to me artists.
@@ashphoenix5447 I get it! I rarely watch samplers due to the limited timeframe, but it's nice to be able to offer it for those who may be on the fence about diving in to the whole shebang or have financial constraints. I much prefer to be able to take my own sweet time and watch anytime. Still, I love the camaraderie! Nice to meet you, too.

So many ideas with just 1 piece of plastic! Thank you!

Plus, it's such a great way to repurpose the plastic!
I love it, thank you for this inspiring video 👍

Funny, I repurposed a cereal box for a rigid mailer this week and now I’m going to be looking for packaging to make stencils 😊 thank you!
