Seven Rules to Live By, which makes modern sense! I - One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason. II - The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions. III - One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone. IV - The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one's own. V - Beliefs should conform to one's best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one's beliefs. VI - People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one's best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused. VII - Every rule is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word. L/S/D
Then also, when I - VII have been violated upon you, and those who afflicted their insanity declare themselves ANGELS IN HUMAN SKIN/PROPHETS... so summing up I-VII - _just let it go_ yeah, waz the point otherwise, not like they remember lessons anyway. There is a resistance to acknowledging, they are morons. People who LOVE LIES, so even you convince about one issue, tomorrow they will forget... this is in and of the evidence of my work. I have repeated my work among humanity and found them truth-adversed, as reality is open-endedly complicated? nope! as there's a hurd of people PLAYING ALONG, which makes critical reasoning... unimportant
No wonder the fundies hate these rules. They can't control through hate and fear. These rules are beautiful and something I agree with despite not being a Satanist.
@@BobOsso67these ARE the 7 tenets of TST, which is a political stunt organization that shields their actions but claiming religion. Look into the making of the “Hail Satan” doc and the history of so-called “Lucian Grieves.” The 11 rules of the earth come from the Satanic Bible which was created by Anton LaVey far before the TST stunt group was created.
Im a pagan and i really appreciate the work that the Satanic Temple and the Church of Satan are doing. There are religions out there that aren't large enough to get displays, and its a really noble thing for them to step up and show Christians how it feels for someone else to get treated the way they get treated. I think they're doing a great job fighting for religious freedom, and i appreciate it, because my faith is relatively small, and if it was up to only us to get some religious equality in this country, nothing would be done because I'm pretty sure theres only like... One per city.
What? Winter Solstice the whole point. It's a relevant cosmic event that people celebrate because the days will be getting longer. I don't know, but the closer I live to the Arctic Circle, the more I love me some Solstice.
I am a Korean American and I’ve known some Koreans attend diploma mills like this, but I did not expect to hear slave labor issue. I almost fell out of chair.
I love Jessica. That new listener just has particular needs. Jessica is smart, funny, and brings in so much to the show. I love it when she makes jokes and when she brings in more info, specially, when she broadens the conversation to include a gendered perspective. Our views on gender have been influenced by religion for so long, and have made us sick. I love your contributions Jessica, please keep bringing that to the podcast.
I live in Marion county Florida and we're a deep red county and I'm shocked it went that way. I also heard nothing about it in our newspaper. Which might explain the low turn out. I'm disappointed that our schools are not getting much attention 😕. It's kinda surprising because I'm always reading about things involving the school. We just voted to raise sales taxes to fund the school buildings. Strange. So glad they voted to not put chaplain in the schools. 🎉
With regards to the private 'college' in California. We have seen a huge problem in Canada with students from Asia, particularly India, being enrolled in private Canadian collleges. There is a whole scheme of agents in India selling them on the scholarships, and other incentives. It ends up being a total lie, and the poor students are stuck in dire conditions. I haven't heard of slave labour through the schools, but they are taking undocumented jobs that are very dangerous in order to survive. This year, Canada stopped granting Student Visas to people from India to address the problem.
From my limited experience with MSNBC, Mika’s job is to say “mm-hm” “yes” “right” “tragic” etc and then if she starts to say more than one word he interrupts her.
SO, I recently got angry attempting to dump my disdain for Ken Paxston in your comments. Now, looking at this topix - I just don't care. Rather I'd like to know one time in your life, you or your wife, when you felt... understood inside that you were disappointed in yourself , and realized you have to do better? Deep inside your mind is a model of this universe, and sometimes it goes awry in a way you can control yet failed. Reimagine, work it over and over... relive it - can't redo, but but can learn - it's so important when you FEEL disappointed in and of yourself - learn this is a poor description of BEING TRUE TO YOURSELF, however it's utterly contrary to the FAKE/MAKE BELIEVING of RELIGIOUS tools
The freedom of religion includes the freedom of not having a religion. The expression of sed freedom of non religion, even performed in a scinical way called blasphemy is still protected by the freedom of religion. It is not an anti religious agenda. The fact that it was vandalised prooves that religious people have an anti non religious agenda, an anti blasphemy agenda. The fact that non religious people who planted that status where aware that religious people would vandalise it is not an agenda. It's a way to proove that religious people have an agenda, an illegal agenda because it goes against the freedom of religion. This mayor is a religious, he's twisting the words and the law, don't give him any credit! Happy solstice friends.
@@DavidSmith-vr1nb either way, but if it's going to be part of one's speech then perhaps do it full-on, not half-arsed, but personally I hate hearing it. Many speakers don't even know they're doing it.
We do. The whole point of the Satanic Temple is to encourage dialogue. They don't actually believe in Satan as a real entity, they use it as an image of a freethinker (Satan) rebelling against tyrannical authority (most varieties of a christian god.) When people hear the name "satanic temple" and predictably have a knee-jerk negative reaction, it opens the door to ask "Why did you have a negative reaction? I haven't even told you what I believe in--you've filled in all the gaps yourself," while pulling out your membership card which has the 7 tenets written on the back. And to be perfectly frank, the 7 tenets of the Satanic Temple are far more ethical and rational than the 10 commandments in the bible. "Honor thy father and mother," why? Because they had sex? Doesn't mean they're good people.
As a devote Atheist, I don't think so, but they are tolerant of the Satanic Temple, and most probably agree that the 7 universal - Tenants are way better than the 10-Christian Commandments, to live by! I personally, am way more into worshiping the US CONSTITUTION, and fight to keep it free from all religions - PATRIOTIC ATHEIST!
Funny thing about this season is is that christ was supposedly born just before New Year's BUT back THEN they marked the new year in springtime right around the time they planted their crops. In FACT April Fool's day USED TO BE NEW YEAR'S DAY!! They changed the whole damned calendar AND THEIR OWN RELIGION just to get rid of SATURNALIA, a pre christian PAGAN festival 😆

I kept misreading the title as "furry" and not the angry kind 😂
Actually all furries are deeply angry /j
I remember a TV ad for some college that actually had that they were non-acreditated as one of their selling points.

Olivet College. So 'Flat Earth Geography" and 'Witch Identification' are not legitimate studies?

And it's predictable fury over satanic displays by a nose.
People are generally stupid. Americans take it to a whole other level.
Thanks!

Just a note, but Lehigh University from the quick Celery Act description isn't a local university. Its a private and extremely expensive university.

The statue should have had Elton John's "I'm still standing" playing by it
Yes! Camera on the tree, excellent.
I want my Baphomet back!
so I joined TST a little while ago and haven't received my Satanic Carols songbook yet
The report said Christian and trade schools. I wonder what the percentage of prosecutions are if you take out the trade schools.
From the thumbnail, I thought that was a cosplay of Grimace & the Hamburglar's housekeeper.
They need a iron worker, concrete and stone workers to construct this buatiful beast😊
Hawk Tua
I misread that as "furry" 🦊😆
Damn it. I always click the podcast to try to listen, but Jessica. So annoying.
Mais le drapeau aux bandes noirs et blanches aux états unis, c'est pas un symbol white power or something? SVP, corrigez moi si je me trompe.
Jessica, I like your voice. Just saying.
Jessica continues to add nothing to this podcast but an annoying whiney absent of the facts shrill ignorance. Anyone else Hemmat .
