Anything the FDA recommends, I now do the opposite. Health and Beauty Mastery by Julian Bannett is a must-read if you want to uncover the shocking realities of the health industry. It opened my eyes, and I’ve completely changed my lifestyle since!
I was eating almost no meat after having my second baby. I had horrible postpartum, depression and anxiety. I wasn't working at the time so I didn't have a ton of money to spend on groceries so my parents gave us half of a cow from a local farmer. I was forced to start eating meat and it made my anxiety and depression go away a few weeks. Months later I realized it was the meat that was helping with my anxiety, I've never looked back from eating high-quality protein, and I have not suffered from anxiety since.
@ yep, I'm so thankful I realized that completely on accident. I only eat cooked vegetables and mostly meat. I do locally raised as often as I can. I have never felt better, and my labs from the doctor have never been as good as now. My doctor actually said, oh looks like you have been eating less red meat. I laughed and said actually, I've never ate more.
Whatever FDA says I try to avoid it. I found myself in this rabbit hole of so many industry lies when I read "The 23 Former Doctor Truths". Its no wonder why Doctor left her career.
FDA never suggested to eat the amounts of geens, nuts and wholegrain as she described. There's always a limit and too much fiber will at some point mess you up.
Hi Autumn! 👋🏻 I thought I’d just add to eat slowly - chewing well to break down food for your stomach to easily pass. Rushing is so common in our culture/society. It’s something we all need to be mindful of when we do stop to nourish our bodies 🩵
When I realized that corn chips were a trigger for me, I did a bit of digging and I was stunned to find out they were fried actually, not baked as I had assumed! I had a lot of the same troubles, hearing you confirm makes me feel better about my choices to fix the issues. Thank you for making this video, you are doing great work!
Terrific info as always. It occurs to me I've gotten back into snacking between meals and I'm pretty sure that's why I'm having issues with gas and bloating. For me it's On the Border Tortilla Chips, I love those. But this is a great reminder that I need to step away from the bag - and quit buying them!!
Cutting out sugar, high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, white flour, vegetable/seed oils, anything GMO, and ultra processed stuff has made a huge difference in my life and health. Whole vegetables and fruits, minimally processed meats, eggs, beans and legumes, nuts and seeds, some dairy, and some whole grains are what I eat now. I prioritize the vegetables and fruits with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Some vegetables are healthier when they are cooked. I have end stage arthritis in both knees and in 2 joints of one foot. Yet I can walk well and rarely have the painful arthritis inflammation flare-ups any longer.
The whole vegetable oil scare is not really based in science. Look at the nutritional values between canola oil and avocado oil. Avocado oil has almost no omega-3 and it has omega-6, like any oil does. There's this myth that omega-6 is bad but that's from a study on mice who were injected with ONLY omega-6. We need both. There are other myths about how they refine canola oil with "very high" temperatures when it's actually 170 F to extract all of the oil and not waste 1/4 of it. So my guess is you got the health benefits from cutting out sugar and eating healthier NOT by cutting out vegetable oil.
@@thedupontnest make my own. in one quart water add 2 oz OJ and half tsp Celtic Sea Salt. Yes, the OJ has sugar but 2 oz only has 25 calories but has 125mg potassium.
It sure does, and I didn’t realize it at first. Now I know. I’ve switched over to Promix watermelon. I just received it, and I will try it out. I’m thinking about trying Redmond next.
@@joeygrimmitt6189 Hate to tell you this but Promix has Natural Flavors just like every single one of them and that is where the Maltodextrin is hidden. BUT just like LMNT it is so minuscule it will have almost zero effect. The fear of it in those quantities is click bait
Thanks for another great video Autumn. I have been a pescatarian for about 11years as I thought meat wasn’t digesting well but now I am thinking I would like to start to try and add some meat back in. My question is: since it has been so long since I have eaten red meat how slowly should I add it and what is the best meat to start back with please? ❤
Off topic but i was wondering about thoughts on eating while traveling and holidays (Thanksgiving 😳) thanks! Just started the 21 day intermittent fasting program- I was doing so many things that were counterproductive for body recomposition.
Ive started drinking raw milk and i drink a lot of milk roughly 16-20 pints per week. In less than two weeks the difference is night and day from regular milk. Feel so much better.
Thank you! I don’t eat much sugar these days but am wondering about the “crash” and feelings of anxiety. I have noticed that as I am on the verge of falling asleep, I get a sudden jolt of anxiety. I thought maybe it’s because of my slower breathing. Could it be diet related? Or post menopause related? I’ve been experiencing this for years now.
Do you know what the “other natural flavors” are exactly in your protein powder? So many chemicals can be considered other natural ingredients. I find it hard to believe you ingest this every day without knowing exactly. I bought a bag of your vanilla protein, powder, and it tastes wonderful, but that has me questioning what the other ingredients are. There is a reason super clean protein power never tastes amazing..
Oh that's funny, you're Dad is a Chiropractor. I'm a Chiropractor. Graduated in 2015. Haha All my desk job people have worse spines than my construction workers or my athletes. And they do really well under our treatments. We help bring the head back on top of the shoulders restoring the center of gravity and slowing down the rate of disc degeneration in the cervical spine.
I’m a pharmacist and stand at a counter looking at a computer at work. Do you think that’s as bad (on my spine) as an office job? I also noticed the other day that I lean into the counter often, which pushes right into my abdomen below my ribs. I’ve been having terrible issues with reflux that affects my ability to take a deep breath for like 3 years now. I just considered the other day that my posture at work might be playing a role.
I am Vegan for ethical reasons and for my health, the health of the planet and the health of the animals. I am curious as to how you make your meat, dairy and egg choices and do you consider the amount of antibiotics used in these industries and the animal cruelty? I find a lot of your information very useful but I have to adjust for a completely plant based diet. Just wondering what type of research you have done on factory farming and the meat, dairy, fish and egg industries and the health affects on people and the planet?
You do understand that farming and transport of vegetables and other vegan choices actually destroys whole ecosystems. I mean, the bugs, small animals, and other plants, etc, that are destroyed to maintain a crop are crazy.
Thank you for caring about the animals and the planet. You most likely won't get an answer, especially from people who are meat-based. And if they had done their research on factory farming and the way animals are treated and they had a conscience, they would not be eating it.
That’s a pretty snarky thing to say. The video is describing her past behaviors before she completed her nutrition training, and explaining why these caused gut trouble based on what she now knows. Go somewhere else to throw shade.

Some people don't seem to realize that meat has pretty much every nutrient we need. A raw veggie diet tears up your stomach.

A big change for me was no longer drinking caffeine on an empty stomach!

I am retired. The stress of working and regiment of work hours triggered my IBS. I still have issues but far far less
I recently discovered your channel, and I love the well researched information and advice you give us. It all makes so much sense!
Having plant based protein powder does make me feel bloated. Thank you Autumn for the video. 👍❤️🇨🇦
I'm definitely going to reconsider the quantity of raw veggies that I eat. Thank you for this helpful advice.
Awesome video autumn! Thank you 😊

Thanks for sharing the story
Pain is a great teacher!
Thanks for the help!
I've found the sugar gives me flatulence.
I tend to feel much better after I drink unflavored LMNT. Thanks!
LMNT might not have sugar but it has maltodextrin in it.
I use Redmond Relyte *unflavored* and it’s much cheaper with the same needed ingredients. I much prefer it and just add my own flavorings!

Ive started drinking raw milk and i drink a lot of milk roughly 16-20 pints per week. In less than two weeks the difference is night and day from regular milk. Feel so much better.
And all the listeria is a great way to lose weight quickly!
What kind of raw milk?
Raw milk is amazing!
LMNT also contains sugar 😬

Nice one!
Can you drink element whilst pregnant?
Why are you still supporting LMNT after they got busted for having way too much maltodextrin in their product???

Women have guts? This is the first time I've heard of such a thing! Extraordinary
👽Honey, all you did eat before was sugars & fructose...☠️
I add a date to my protein shakes. How do you feel about that?
dates are very high in fructose, nature's white sugar.
