For those in the U.K. 🇬🇧 - I have just ordered a bundle from a seller on eBay that works out cheaper than Amazon (at the time of ordering) 100ml each of the base coat and top coat for £13.78 for both bottles purchased together. Other bottle sizes were available at time of ordering (30/10/2022 - am). I just put “Polyvine Craquelure” in the search box.
Just thought I would share this information in case anyone was interested. 🙂

Really clever to use old eye shadow! And I loved how these looked like old china, really pretty. The book is gorgeous! :)
I'm currently trying to make a junk journal, out of just junk, to have a kind of a class at my old work place, and I can't use my fancy stuff, because everyone doesn't have fancy stuff... but, most of us have old eye shadow or nail polish... Thanks for getting the gears spinning agin in my head. :)

The cameo's are very pretty. The first thing l thought of when you mentioned crackle was an art restoration channel that I watch. He tries to minimize the cracks. He does a lot of other types of repairs also. LOL I just found it funny that we create cracks for an art project. I love the look.
If I can find an oval punch that will work, I might just buy it. I'm not good at fussy cutting.

I love these so much!! Have you tried using mod podge as a base and then the crackle medium that we buy for acrylic paints (both dry clear, so might work)? I think I am going to give that a try.

Hi Wendy! I haven't tried a bunch, but I'd think you could use just about any paper you'd like that will go through a printer.

Hi Sue! These were inkjet, but I suppose you could use either. If I'm worried that ink may run, I usually coat it with a quick spray of clear sealer.

Oh yes, sorry! I forgot to mention that. It cut out just fine with no issues as far as I can tell.

Does it work on an Epson printer without smearing the image or do you need a laser printer? Cool project!
Heya! I printed with a canon inkjet and it worked fine. You could always give the printed images a quick spray of clear sealer before crackling, if need be. ;)
Were there significant differences between pre-cutting the cameo ovals before adding the crackling or not?
Howdy! Nope, no issues. It cut out just as easily after the crackling.
