They look like such babies here! So young! Just little bits. And, of course, their bluegrass/country roots are plain to hear. They have been brilliant from the start, haven't they? No matter what genre they've taken on. So much talent and such long hard work, too. They deserve every bit of praise they've received.
Little-known fact: The guitarist they pick up on the side of the road is Mike Seal, who has been married to Megan since around 2016. He was only in the band for a few months, and left when they started dating.
Found Larkin Poe in 2019. Their entire catalogue of recordings and videos is truly amazing. This video is special because Megan married Mike Seal, a musician in the video.
I absolutely love everything Larkin Poe. There is a part of me that wishes that on every album and every concert, they would still do a couple acoustic songxs with mandolin and dobro, but I'll follow them anywhere they want to take me.
Yes, back in the days when you could hitchhike or pickup hitchhikers without any worries. Its sad how the world has changed. Thanks girls for keeping good! down home music alive....
your music is a breeze of wind, a breeze of hope, that runs through your body with sweet good vibes, flooding the heart. thanks to both of you. And sorry for my English, I'm Spanish, and I still don't master it well
Nice crickety birdie clappin' and brushing vibe , and extra double thumbs up for the beautiful lap dobro slide. Well done ladies and gentlemen, wish it was summer here These sisters can come pick me and my guitar up anytime
9 years on they are bigger and better but i really can't understand why they haven't had the full recognition that they really deserve. They are amazing musicians.
@SongAid Yes, Larkin Poe was previously known as the Lovell Sisters Band, a trio of three sisters. That group disbanded in 2009 and two of the sisters formed Larkin Poe. The name comes from the name of one their great-great-great-grandfathers. My favorite instrument is the dobro, followed not far behind by the mandolin. To see them played by two beautiful young women just adds to the exquisiteness.
My lord...2 absolutely gorgeous ladies in an old pick up making great music with an old timey/country-'ish' feel!! I think I'm in love...Can't find no women like this where I'm from, not even remotely close seems cookie cuttin wannabe country music and rap is all people around here listen to. Anyways, right on ladies, keep on doing what your doing, amazing talent and beauty.
I know y'all dont like to be labeled with a certain genre, but y'all are the true definition of Americana. From Black Sabbath to Hall and Oates to the All man Brothers and everything in between you ladies kill it every single time!
Wow... this video is really enjoyable and very well produced, most engaging with very skilful playing..excellent vocal....very well done 5***** best wishes... Ronnie....
I saw these lovely ladies back in May in my hometown Marietta, OH and they were awesome...I even met them after thier show and they were as nice as could be...
Y'all are sooo young! Rebecca, did you even have your driver's license yet? Cool song from your beginnings. Really glad I stumbled across this old video. Come play Houston Texas soon!
isn't it just amazing to look back and now we have young they are but how they had such a straightforward thinking it had on their shoulders at such a young age... and you look at them now almost 10 years later and he just think wow way to go girls..and now Venom than faith is up for a Grammy nomination that doesn't get any cooler than that such a young age..I'm sure as hell not like Taylor Swift in the pop category but you're talking about a blues category that right there in itself to get a nomination even if you don't win is one hell of an accomplishment in my book..
The Poe can play so many things. This tune is beautiful old school country, but they also played great bluegrass with big sister Jessica, they play kickass southern rock, and they cover old blues but always with the Larkin Poe style. Great band.
great song...the vocals are superb and the music surrounds and compliments her vocals very nicely...I Love the video too..well done...flows very well...I used to have a truck like that and I miss driving it...but not as much as I miss the girl that rode in it with me...
Impressive quality in sound and video. Great scenes of old truck, dirt road and contrast of modern clothing and party scene. Overall a real gem. I loved it! 43jimcr
Thanks for the friend invite. This is one of those songs that grows on you the more you listen. Very nice and I love the video images, it reminds me of the country I grew up in. I also like the steel guitar players style and way of holding the guitar. It reminds me of Jeff Healy. Catchy song.
Had one 1966 GMC step side 327 corvette engine three speed on the tree..! Nice how it's erdune inside bet its air-condition too..! Nice country song you do it all Girls..!
Both are really great voices but with the dark haired girl i can only think of a very well single malt Whisky. Flavours of Jones, a dash of Mitchell, a strong fruity sensation of Adele and a hint of Krall. Love it!
+rene31Bable Shame on you. She is the baby of the three Lovell sisters. I like the way the blond handles the resonator guitar and the lap steel Rickenbacker on "Mad As A Hatter".
Sir Eugene Courtney in 2010 she was 20 or 21 years old ... no longer a baby. I didn't see so much evil in the original comment. I find both beautiful women and multitalented ... I love your hard blues.
Us esperem a Barcelona (Catalonia). A Europa hi ha la cultura mediterrània, i la vostra música ens agrada molt. Esteu fent un treball fantàstic i el volem sentir en directe.
2 little Georgia peaches..look how far you've come and you are now within less than 10 years of this up for a plant that is so cool to watch the evolution of you from such young barely out of high school till now.. keeping a goodshowered head on your shoulders. not turning into the heavy heavy partying to excess.. it's okay to pop a top and have a smoke.. juss saying keep on the straight road and you're going to go far... go get that grammy
Hi ! A cool video, it was a good moment that I've had, listening to this song. I didn't all understood ; I don't know exactly who's playing what, but I've ebjoyed. The guitars sound particularly well to my ears ! Well done ! Will write on your channel. BYE !

Older sister we want you back once in a wile with Larkin poe little sisters ..! Do you have any idea how amasing your COUNTRY Voice is ..!? Any idea ?
Little-known fact: The guitarist they pick up on the side of the road is Mike Seal, who has been married to Megan since around 2016. He was only in the band for a few months, and left when they started dating.
So the dude with the glasses is not Megan's husband? Didn't whoever that dude is play standup bass with the Lovell Sisters? My bad.
Found Larkin Poe in 2019. Their entire catalogue of recordings and videos is truly amazing. This video is special because Megan married Mike Seal, a musician in the video.
I'd like to see more of Megan and Mike's music as well. Only saw one video and enjoyed it.

They should visit this music again sometime I love this song
The truck......voices and performance are all CLASSIC! Wonderful!!!
Their sound has changed SO much!! This was the first song of their’s I ever heard. I don’t even think this is listed on their Spotify
Woooooow!! Cool
WOW they have come a long way...They don't sound like this anymore...
Rebecca rarely brings out the mandolin now. Best mandolin player. Blues rock thing not better, not worse, different. Darker lyrics now which i love.
that's a good thing... this is bad country radio type shit... they are rock and roll now... love them
And they swapped hairstyles :)
I absolutely love everything Larkin Poe. There is a part of me that wishes that on every album and every concert, they would still do a couple acoustic songxs with mandolin and dobro, but I'll follow them anywhere they want to take me.
These gals have really found their groove. Long live Larkin Poe. authentic and as American as Apple pie

Nice C10 Chevy Truck!!
Can't wait for Blood Harmony album to drop.
gr8 song and video. you're definitely well on ur way
I'm glad to have heard this, but I prefer the bluesey direction they've taken to their earlier country sound.
As do I, but this is not bad at all. Am I tripping or does Rebecca look like Linda Ronstadt here?
@@paulhutchinson6552 I thought the same mate, a young Linda.

Hello ladies, Thank you so much for your beautifull song and music on the very good video clip. God bless you. Love from, Jacob (The Netherlands).
Check out the Lovell Sisters performing live on the streets of Oslo, Norway
*lovell sisters I'm Blowin Away- oslo, Norway*
Thanks for the friend request! Good song - it inspired me to pick up my banjo and try to play along.
I'm glad they evolved so profoundly. This is fine but similar sounds are easily found. Their bluesy music, however, has no comparable.
Wow 🌹
I like it! Cute song! Hope you guys make it!
Great first video - love it!
Would love for them to do something like this again
Just watch all of the Lovell Sisters bluegrass videos on you tube.
