So good to see the blues continue. I'm 75, grew up outside of Chicago and saw many of the old guys (including Su
n House and Fred McDowell who I jammed with one night). Also grew up with Butterfield and the great Mike Bloomfeld. These enthusiastic young women offer some hope for the future of this vital music.

Larkin Poe's version is the best of the Blues. Megan tears it up on lap steel. Rebecca's vocals are so hard hitting. Love this!!!
Swift, Perry, and Spears have nothing on these rockin blues-luvin ladies. The music scene has needed these two like hell needs ice water. Rebecca and Megan are bringing back the REAL DEAL!

The women that you mention are merely showbusiness products. The Lovell sisters are real, authentic musicians. They are poles apart and in different worlds.
I do not agree. Those you mentioned just happened to be playing another genre of music. You never know Perry could play a mean blues guitar when she's not doing her pop thing. I once met a guitarist with a rap band. Man he could play guitar like Vai and Joe Pass. Who would have thought. He was a Berklee grad.
There Ladies will never have frown lines, because they are always smiling. These days we will never get too much of that!

You're right. Check out Laura Cox and her blues band from France, and Grainne Duffy from Ireland, as well as Texas' own Ally Venable.
Don't forget Beth Hart while you're looking for female blues singers. Check out Bonamassa and Hart in Amsterdam doing "I'd Rather be Blind"

The first time I heard this song was the version by Muddy Waters & I've lost count of how many covers I've listened to over the years. This is the best one yet.

I have been following them since they were the Lovell Sisters playing Bluegrass festivals with their other sister Jessica on fiddle.
