    Thank you for the awesome video sir. I bought the 3/4 drive and couldn't be happier. Peforms really well. I'm using with 12ah battery. Hammers for no more than 3-5 seconds on each lugnut on my semi. Love it!!!

    3/4 looks to be a little quicker and makes the torque come up a bit higher. But the 1/2 still is not too bad for the Avg. Job.

    I personally think the 1/2” Milwaukee impact wrench is the best deal because most of us use 1/2” sockets. The 3/4” Milwaukee is only like 100 ft lbs of a difference. My 1/2” Milwaukee is said to have 1400 ft lbs of torque in reverse. So again, 100 ft lbs won’t really make much of a difference, especially when removing semi truck lug nuts torqued at 475 ft lbs or over-torqued to 800 ft lbs.
    I am using a “high output” 12.0 battery pack and fully charged with no socket adapters and a 1/2” drive 33mm socket. It breaks loose all nuts. The 12.0 “high output” battery is expensive, about $200. You should be able to have similar results with an 8.0 or 9.0 “high output” battery. Surprisingly, removing 40 semi lug nuts doesn’t really reduce the battery level on a 12.0 battery. Yeah, it was an overkill on my part.
    Perhaps the only time you would need the 1-inch Milwaukee is for driveline yoke nuts, some of which can be torqued to 1,000 ft lbs, although most are probably around 700 ft lbs. The newest model of the 1-inch Milwaukee can do 2,000 ft lbs in reverse.

    Good video. I set my 2864 up through the one key app. I set it up for 550, 950, 1350, and 1750 RPM and disabled that bolt removal mode completely. I find the bolt removal mode pointless when you have a variable speed trigger. Great tool, but I don’t like the factory settings.

    Great review both impacts are great but a bigger anvil does make a difference. You should look into buying bigger batteries like the 8 amp & 12 amp longer battery life but I have seen that it does help to fastened & remove lug nuts faster & it sounds more stronger with bigger batteries. Would like to see the review but great video keep it up man😎👍🏾

    2 tips. 1. shove the hole reamer into the tire while it still has air in it to know the direction and location of the hole. 2.a used tire like yours would seat if you put a 5 gallon pail in the center and let the tire hang off the ground while you seat the bead, it also helps center the tire on the wheel.

    • @tellrowland2370
      @tellrowland2370 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @LifeWithChase
      @LifeWithChase  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Nothing wrong with the dewalt but it just isn't as strong as the milwaukee. I feel I got my money out of it before it died though 😃 I really never intended to use it for semi lugs when I bought it but you know how that goes LOL. I think this milwaukee 3/4" may be the ticket, it's stronger than the snap on mg 1200 air impact I had also.

  • @danieljensen1465

    That adapter might even be helping the 1/2. There’s some controversy because of the torque test channel. The added mass from the adapter might overcome any loss in torque from using it and then some. Same idea as to use a deep well socket to hit harder.

    • @danieljensen1465

    Awesome video brother 👍 the first video that actually shows the real world power of these tools I believe if you didn't have that addapter you would see a little more power out of the half inch. But the 3 quarter inch is faster with the rpm difference and will suit your needs better. I advise you to get the rubber boot it saves your impact if you don't care about denting it and scratches but I have both and have the rubber boot on all my Milwaukee tools that have the option. But they work great and seriously protect your investment these things are not cheep and I believe you would really like it. With that said keep them coming love all your content

    Ive had the 1/2" for years and its amazing. I work on a lot of 38 and 50 liter cummins engines and the 1/2" struggles to take the head bolts off, and when it comes to the main cap bolts, that gun won't even budge one of those bolts (they're 1 1/2" bolt heads torqued on to about 600 ft lbs). Im currently overhauling 2 38 liters right now and my coworker bought the 3/4" gun to try a wack at the main bearings, and I shit talked him quite a bit saying that its just the 1/2" gun with a 3/4" anvil....well holy shit did I eat my words. That freaking gun blew that main cap bolt off with NO PROBLEM. I dont't know if the internals are the same or different, or if you just get that much extra torque from the bigger anvil. But my freaking god I never went on the home depot website so fast to buy something. My other coworker had bought the milwaukee 1" impact to do this job for like 900 bucks, and HE WAS PISSED. And to top that off, when going back together, the torque for the main caps are a torque angle torque, and the freaking gun had no problem doing the 90* turn! That 3/4" gun is a freaking beast.

    • @byrne5948

      Yeah someone told me that the 3/4 had more balls than the 1/2 and I thought they were bullshittin too.
      Then I bought a 3/4 and wow did it really impress me. And also like you said not sure if they have different internals or it’s the anvil that makes the difference

    Man you need the protective covers for those tools. They are about $44 but they protect the serial number of the tool so you can get it repaired by Milwaukee with the warranty. That number will wear off and they won't help you if the number is damaged.

    • @LifeWithChase
      @LifeWithChase  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I usually don't worry about that, if it breaks I'll buy another and if it breaks sooner than I think it should I'll buy another brand.🙂 Dealing with warranty is usually a pain in the but on small items. If I have to spend hrs on the phone and look through receipts to find proof of purchase then pay shipping it's usually not worth it...

    July 2021 I browser-searched the price of the 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch Milwaukee cordless impacts and there is a $150.00 sales price difference. In both kits used for comparison came with two batteries and a charger.
    Even ask cash-starved is a chronically am I guess the feeling of a 3/4 in sockets above 15/16 of an inch hacks does feel good in the palms whethet pneumatic or breaker bar so I imagine this would be the same with cordless.
    I am shocked how both guns can do so much especially the half inch.

    Why do you use 2 bars to put the tire back on? It is much easier and safer to use one. After prying the bar over put your foot where it is make a circle with the bar clockwise on the left, or counter clockwise on the right. On the last pry keep one foot in the rim and step the other one forward. This is so you can use your weight to pry it on, and so you have a lower chance to fall on your face if it pops on before you expect it to. Not saying your way is wrong, just giving you some tips.

    So, if you had to pick one M18 impact, and both were the One Key (1/2 and 3/4 models) which one would you take if both were offered at the same price? Is it worth getting a 3/4 impact and using an adapter on 1/2 socket sets? It is evident that the 3/4 is somewhat more powerful than the 2863 1/2 One Key.

      If my main use was removing semi lugs and dozer tracks etc I would go 3/4 if I was mainly planning to use it for smaller stuff with the occasional semi tire I would go 1/2. I pretty much use the 3/4 for semi lugs and the 1/2 for everything else...

    Im sold on it for what i need. Which is similar to your need and from what ive heard it can do. But have you taken a torque wrench behind it to see if it meets the 550 ft lb torque requirement?

    • @ctraltdel6510
      @ctraltdel6510 ปีที่แล้ว

      I say this because i recently bought a 1,000 ft lb kobalt impact gun and large compressor and it couldn't get the starter bolts off my 12.7 series 60 motor. I wanted to buy a 3/4 milwaukee like you got but lowes doesnt sell milwaukee only home depot. So i got the air setup instead, which didnt work $750 later. I had to just use the chrome breaker bars i had which were twisting so bad im surprised nothing broke.

    • @LifeWithChase
      @LifeWithChase  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you were using an extension on the impact you lose a lot of torque because the flex in the extension absorbs the impacts from the impact wrench. check out torque test channel on youtube they do torque test on impact wrenches. I believe its over 700ft lbs if I remember correctly.

      Either you have some seriously rusted and over torqed lug nuts or something is wrong with the impact. I removed some the other day with my 3/4that was put on with 1in air impact with no problem. But if you run up north in the winter and the lugs are badly rusted it may not take em off. There was 1video I seen where the 1in wouldn't take em off and it was very corroded lugs from up north that hadn't been off in years.

      Make sure you are not using any socket adapters or extensions (if possible). If you need to use an extension, use the shortest one. Get yourself a 1-inch drive 33 mm socket from Amazon.
      Also, make sure you’re loosening the nut. Lefty loosey, righty tighty. It can happen to anyone. And have a freshly and fully charged battery pack, and preferably the “high output” model.
