    Confirmed the daisies wasted Glenn’s time. Time is something we shouldn’t take for granted with a talent like Glenn ! We are lucky to have him . He managed to make the generic daisies sound like a proper band … Glenn is back to being a titan with BCC, his return to solo material will be hugely welcomed by his fans too

    What a fantastic interview. I love Glenn Hughes as one of my favourite singers and his openness and honesty throughout is so refreshing. I actually enjoyed this more than reading his biography. Great to hear his comments about the guitarists he’s worked with in the past. I only mentioned Glenn on a Facebook post a few days ago about it being time Iommi got in touch with him for the upcoming solo album Iommi is working on. It would have been good to have seen Glenn asked about Pat Thrall, and why they have never recorded or finished a follow up the the iconic Hughes/Thrall album, which should have been huge at the time!

    This is perhaps one of the best interviews Glenn has ever done, he spoke openly about everything good or bad. I'm a huge fan of Glenn's for many years and I always wanted to know about why he ended California Breed and left The Dead Daisies, it was also good to hear his real feelings on the Deep Purple situation.

      Jason Bonham was never really on board with California Breed. And guitarist Andrew Watt, who has become a very good producer was far below the standards that Glenn had for the band. I'd chalk it up as a good learning experience for everyone involved.

    I recently saw him in concert in Ft. Lauderdale and has an amazing voice. He is 72 and can easily play on stage for 90 minutes. Great performer. Would like to see him perform in Black Country Communion.

    Now that "Anno Domini 1989-1995" is done, perhaps Tony can focus on remixing and remastering the three awesome albums he and Glenn did together: "Seventh Star," "The 1996 DEP Sessions," and "Fused" (including all those great bonus tracks). Now that trio would make for a tremendous box set.

    Glenn s a phucking HERO, as far as im concerned. His tunes on the Phenomena LP are the ones i enjoy the most, next to Move you Lose, since im a love-sick fan of Ray Gillen. Not one off all the great singers from the golden age of rock and roll, that are alive and old and performing, only Glenn has his shit together and kicking harder than ever. He s really a better singer now than he ever was. More rounded and more powerful, its really insane.

    I love Glenn Hughes. Some day I really hope someone asks him "Why did you record so many versions of "Still The Night"?" It's a great song, but why, of everything he's written, is that the one he's done with multiple groups: Hughes/Thrall, Phenomenon, and John Norum?

    • @peteyoung7665
      @peteyoung7665 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      And why doesn't anyone ask Glenn about John Norum's Face The Truth album which is the best album Glenn has ever done?He has never sounded that good!

    • @LEEFORDJAGG
      @LEEFORDJAGG 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I reckon that Glenn felt that John Norum and the production team could do justice to the song. That version of the three currently on the market is my favourite. I still hope to see Glenn perform ‘Still The Night’ live onstage. Pat Thrall is my favourite guitarist that Glenn has ever worked with.

    The album reminds me alot of BCC '2' (which i consider their best) in a sense that the band made a conscious effort to return to that formula. And it looks like it worked, theres plenty of hard riffs and power chords that were spread around on the album.

    Love Glenn (going to see him live again in a couple of days 🇪🇸) Love BBC but I have no interest in a new album if they aren’t going to tour it. What’s the point if they’re not gonna be a proper band?

    • @flyingburritobro68
      @flyingburritobro68 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      They are a proper band and played 2 live gigs last month. They are going to try for a few dates in the fall but Bonham is tied up with Sammy Hagar until the fall. Joe is constantly touring as is Glenn. We take we we get. It’s your loss if you don’t buy the new one. BTW for reference The Beatles did not tour at all after 1966! All their biggest albums and no touring😂

    • @deanladue5367
      @deanladue5367 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The last serious tour that BCC did in 2011, Joe and his management group who helped finance the tour lost a ton of money on it. So that's why the band only plays select dates today, and Bonamassas manager Roy Weissman has Joes solo act fully booked 1 year in advance. But would be nice to see BCC do like at least a mini tour of Europe and North America.
