We're working with our new pup and Brandon's advise was just what I needed. Wish he'd just come and train for me haha but it's good for us and happy to have this new set of tools to use on our pup.

I have always put the warm milk onto the kibble, set for a few mins... then whirled it up with the bullet... makes the blender work less and works great.

One way to cut the time to prepare the mush would be to soak the puppy food for a while and then blend it with your milk replacer. :) Great video!

I know this was awhile ago so I don’t know what you’re using now to blend the puppy food. But coffee bean grinders would probably work really well for it!

Don’t use metal fork when mixing use plastic so that it doesn’t scrape the metal off the pan and it get in puppies food

Hi I started feeding bowl, it's been two days and my female refused to clean them. I'm not sure if I have to step in or not. They're 3 1/2 weeks and 13 of them.
You will need to give them "sponge baths" Just make sure the air temp is warm in the room and you warm them so they dont get a chill being wet.
How about using a new coffee grinder to break up kibble
You could try it - I think it might be harder to adjust so that the kibble pieces get bigger and bigger as they learn to eat? Also, I don't think it would hold as much right?

Is it common for the pups to throw up or regurgitate thier food? Maybe i fed too much, or they ate too fast?
Hi how many times a day should they eat this mixture
We start twice a day with a really wet mixture. Usually by six weeks we have transitioned to three times a day with puppy food/mush and are just about to be transitioning completely away from using milk replacer. We are barely blending the puppy food so it is more crunchies than fine powder. By 7 weeks I am fully transitioned to dry, whole kibble and will move to twice a day feedings! Hope this helps.

I’m a first timer too…just started my pups on mush and decided to use a baking sheet pan and works like a charm…also saves a few dollars
I hear people mixing the food with water? When should you transition to water mixing?
We have 9 puppys we started feeding this way ,but it makes clean up a nightmare, as soon as they finish eating they start popping then they step in it and into the food we'll other puppys are still feeding ,then they continue to take turns pooping for aleast an hour ,I find this stage the worst

We don't use pumpkin puree or powder when weaning puppies.
A food processor would work better to make the dog food into a powder

Hi is it normal from puppy to vomit from the change every time they eat
There are a lot of things to consider when answering this question...
1. How old are the puppies?
2. How are you making your puppy mush? Whats in it and the quantity?
3. When did you start supplementing/weaning?
4. Are the puppies gaining weight well, or are they on the lighter side and extra hungry so may be overeating?
5. Are all of the puppies vomiting?
6. Is there anything else health wise that is concerning other than vomiting? Lethargy, wheezing, diarrhea, etc...?
