We have a four-week-old puppy (I know, it's bad, but their mom was starting to attack them and the food they were getting weaned to was crap. I have two close people with her siblings, and I'll be taking her over to play every day that I possibly can)...I want to be able to take her outside, but the fleas in the area are pretty thick and absolutely everywhere. Is there something I can safely put on her to keep them off?

@@thedalmatianpack Dogs can have false pregnancy symptoms. You can go in for a pregnancy ultrasound after 28 days from when breeding occurred. If your dog is further along, then abdominal growth should be noticeable. You can also do an x-ray once a girl is at least 56 days past breeding. Puppy bones would be evident on the x-ray at that point, but not before then.

I know this is an older comment, but you likely found out that 5 weeks is way too young to get a puppy. They need to stay with mom and siblings until 8 weeks. Even 7 weeks is too young I have found. I hope you made it through okay
