By having something that is widely available to everybody's purse, the rise of development for new light gun games would likely com to the fore, which means, win/win/win. One aspect that wasn't covered was with regard to the sensors for the TV and how that works.
@@Props3D thanks for the work your doing. Question. When you were calibrating your gun when pointing at your monitor. You mentioned the gun seeing all the sensors. Since I cannot see your TV up close and it’s dark all around it. I cannot see if you have sensors attached to the TV. Does your guns need sensors to work like the Gun4IR guns need? The reason I ask this is so I can figure out if we need to add more sensors to our TV in order to use your guns in the future. We already have the LED sensors that Gun4IR needs for their guns. But this can get really messy if we need to add more sensors to a monitor for other guns.
@@Arcade-Steam-FPGA You can use sensors in multiple positions, including edge mounted like you have now. The 2 up 2 down config you see in my vids works best, but that way works very well too, there's an option in the menu to select your IR config

As for what you’re describing. I will be honest. I am new to most of this so the description you’re using is over my head. So it appears to be obvious from what you’re telling me that we need to add more sensors to our monitor in addition to the 4 Gun4IR LED sensors we have now. And it appears that we will need to add 4 more sensors you use to the same monitor. Are the sensors you use similar to the ones Gun4IR uses? Meaning the wires all terminate into a USB plug that connects to your TVs usb port for power? If so can we place your sensors next to the ones we have from Gun4IR on all 4 sides without any issues?

Thanks! I think people forget how ubiquitous these used to be. You couldn't buy some systems without a light gun. These were in every house! I can't wait to see that day again either. For now I'm having a blast playing with my family, I'm 10 again!
The main thing is that it has to be easy to set up the software. Most light guns fail because you can not get them to work in launchbox or Bigbox. It has the rumble and feel like a real gun.

Aw man they look sooooo cool especially the old fashioned revolver that could work with “Mad Dog McCree” but the one gun I’d love to see created is a hybrid one for say games like “Silent Scope”, “Ghost Sqaud” and its sequel especially for the sniping elements as the “ones” that were invented for them in the home had been imo pretty crappy
Yup, these should work in anything. You can see all the light guns and laser tag guns on my wall. I'm making it a mission after to convert as many as possible and publishing videos and 3D models on how to do it yourself. Nerf is high on the list, feel free to suggest models to start with.
That's good to know, I've got a couple of guncon 2s here waiting. On the Nerf front, the Rival Kronos XVIII-500 would be top of my list - it's got a moving slide on top that works with recoil (already seen a few examples on youtube).

Not at the moment, we have our own internals that have better tracking and are custom coded to take advantage of the design. Maybe after everything is settled? I have a Sinden, I like that it doesn't need sensors but at the same time the tracking isn't that great and accuracy is my thing
It's used for the in-gun menu and for FX in some games. When Blunderbusted comes out it'll be used for showing you what power you're charging, and when the charged shot is ready, and FX when it's fired (for example). It also works with Mamehooker for fire FX etc.
There's a road to release channel on the Props3D Discord with the current state. I can only go as fast as I can and I'm not releasing until it's fully tested. Progress is flying and I'm posting an update every day or two but I don't want to set an exact date until the last few variables are gone.

I was going to get a Sinden light gun but your SMG rifles look NICE. I like my Aim track hits hard but not accurate. I have A1UP T2 with Sinden an they suck but was able to play with my brother awhile back so worth it. I am a veteran who loves shooting an this needs no ammo or do i have to drive to the ranges. I do not have 3d printer but would like your products in kit so i can save lil $ if available.
I'll have kit versions, I'm still iterating on everything so I don't know what the cost even is yet. In small batches my costs are higher but when I get going I'm hoping bulk prices will allow them to be very affordable
Aimtrack light guns are D- tier. Sindins or Gun4IR are light years ahead. Blamcon's look to be based on the same camera system as Gun4IR so should be A-tier as well if when they ever release. Aimtrack tracking is slow ( may as well bea a Wii controller) and accuracy falls off a cliff if you move the gun one inch from the position you calibrated the gun at. Scratch you nose and put your hand back on the gun and move a bit tracking lost. Go from an isosceles to weaver shooting position tracking lost. Pass the gun to your kid brother tracking lost unless you recalibrate. These tracking issues aren't present in the other Gun4IR or Sindens and shouldnt be present in Blamcon guns either\. Aimtrack light guns shouldn't be on the market anymore IMO ! I have a set of Aimtracks used once and sitting in the closet for 3 years and I love light gun games!! They are just that bad! You probably could pplay something like Terminator where you are just using the crosshair to aim with them thats about it. No way no how you are ever playing something that requires aiming like Point Blank with an Aimtrack and having anything other than frustration!
Haha, well I'm glad the hype train is in full swing but I'm waiting until I have a the next version of the models done before making a feature video. Craig is also chugging out some awesome new stuff in the code but I'm trying to be extremely careful to only show things that are locked down and 100% in the videos, I don't want to make false promises and show always beats tell ;)

If the gun point of aim is the same as the point of game impact and it tracks fast enough to play Point Blank I would be a happy gamer :P Higher resolution tracking is the only feature I can really think of wanting. The select fire is a nice to have for sure though. I can't even imagine what else one would add, maybe compatibility with more systems. I'm PC all the way as everytime I try to make Pi or android system I end up gutting it and putting in a PC because something that I want to play needs more power to emulate properly :P Although I did tinker with the idea of installing a usb stick and micro hub in one of my Sindins so it would really be plug and play. Plug in the lightgun and be able to boot batocera from the in gun USB stick and your off and shooting on any pc! Just an idea ! I only ask because I have a gun4IR components set sitting here ready to build and it looks like your kit will use a Pi Pico instead of the Atmega the Gun4IR uses. I will assume most of the other components will be the same so I could easily use a Pico I have laying around to make a Blamcon instead of the planned Gun4IR if the Blamcon's are going to be superior. I have a several 3D printers as well so if you need another beta tester let me know. I can't imagine you would need to do that much more tweaking other than a bit of firmware/code tweaks if they are already working as well as they are on the video's! What are you working on the 3D printer models or the gun hardware/ firmware?

OS is all in gun so you can calibrate in game. Pico or Pico W works. We will sell kits but like other projects teach you how to make your own from parts you source yourself. Same camera as other systems, there's only really one good option out there. There's a lot more features coming, probably more than needed, but we want to cover all the use cases we have, hit me up on Discord for more
The John Wick guns would be cool… also not sure if these use ir sensors, but if they do can you please make a slim and easy way to attach them to your tv that looks like a retail product.
John wick used a lot of guns :D. I think the way we've got it now is pretty easy and slimline, even have a set of attachments for different kinds of TVs to make sure they fit flush

Check Discord, I've been doing daily updates. It's expanded in scope and usability but we've hit a lot of snags along the way, which have been overcome but takes time. This is a big reason I'm not doing pre-orders or crowdfunding, it all comes out of my pocket and back until it's ready, I don't want to take a dollar until this meets expectations. I totally want to do more videos but they're time consuming to do and I've been weighing the time it takes to do a video vs getting the last tasks done for release. Setting an aggressive date like that was a dumb idea, sorry.
I don't really like the way Sinden works to be honest. All respect to them but the accuracy isn't there. See our latest video for a tracking and accuracy demo and you'll see what I mean.

That Vyper is insane, the recoil function is awesome. So many options and you covered all of them. My only input would be instead of pulling the mag to reload, maybe slapping the bottom of the mag to reload would be a great option. Similar to the “terminator salvation” rifle reload method. Anywho great job on these, and that pump shotty is too cool, can definitely play HOD 3 with that. Ps. That blue crisis zone smg are so hard to find and you also got the pedastal for it I see, where in the heck did you find that puppy?
I bought the entire Crisis Zone machine from Auction and salvaged what I could, it was in terrible shape but the gun and pedestal were salvageable. The cab was full of rat droppings and water/vermin damage so had to be disposed of. I like the pull to reload, it was harder to do but more on point. I have quick reload button if you're after high scores

Happy to hear you’re liking the pull mag reload, ive only ever tried the terminator one, so will definitely have to build me a vyper when you guys release the builds. What does the LED do on the guns?

Yup, playing them with a bunch of different test images right now and they work with everything I've thrown at it

I don't really like the way Sinden works to be honest. All respect to them but the accuracy isn't there. See our latest video for a tracking and accuracy demo and you'll see what I mean.

That Vyper is insane, the recoil function is awesome. So many options and you covered all of them.
My only input would be instead of pulling the mag to reload, maybe slapping the bottom of the mag to reload would be a great option. Similar to the “terminator salvation” rifle reload method.
Anywho great job on these, and that pump shotty is too cool, can definitely play HOD 3 with that.
Ps. That blue crisis zone smg are so hard to find and you also got the pedastal for it I see, where in the heck did you find that puppy?
I bought the entire Crisis Zone machine from Auction and salvaged what I could, it was in terrible shape but the gun and pedestal were salvageable. The cab was full of rat droppings and water/vermin damage so had to be disposed of. I like the pull to reload, it was harder to do but more on point. I have quick reload button if you're after high scores

so will definitely have to build me a vyper when you guys release the builds. And the button reload will definitely come in handy.

Yup, I would recommend the P1P. It's a little more than the cheap ones, way cheaper than the expensive ones, and prints as good as the best.

@@michaellewis4960 All the models are free if you get a 3D printer. I will only be charging for parts kits, which you can source yourself, and completed 3D prints. So if you're getting a printer you can do as many of each as you want.
