Glad I came across this vid. Got a 2019 JL and passenger one broke under warranty, they fixed it pretty quick. Now drivers side just broke (out of warranty) so gonna order parts and get it going. Thanks...

Just ordered mine. Thanks for the info. The Tacoma i traded for th e Gladiator also had crap sunvisors, too.
Same thing happened to me with only 3000 miles on the Jeep, I had them replaced under warranty. I then put the repair clips on both visors and they work great.
Just used these as a preventive measure. Thanks for the info.

Robmotive your the man. My passenger side broke while hitting the trails around Silverton and Breckenridge Colorado. Other videos on the issue say the dealer is backordered for months and i would rather a metal fix than another plastic piece!
I've read a lot about these visors being prone to breaking but didn't really know what the issue is and have been somewhat afraid to use them. Thanks for this video. I think I will have to buy a couple of sets to prevent the issue in both my JL and JT.

My 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sport , Drivers side also broke and the Dealer has no repair parts here in Arizona, Mine are currently held up with Velcro straps, But now after seeing your video I will fix mine.

I had my passenger side visor repaired under warranty. I then put a cheaper version of the repair clips on both visors. I recommend putting a repair clip on the visors before you have a break.

@@robmotiveplus yeah it is a cheap enough fix that it can be done proactively. Probably with less hassle then after it has come apart. If you don’t know a fix has been put in most are not going to notice a difference.

Great addition for a poorly designed and engineered simple sun visor assembly. Having said that I have installed what you guys did on Randall's JT let me just say one thing right now you must have birthday passenger side plate or bracket whatever you want to call it so it doesn't interfere with the function of the sliding ability of the sun visor it would seem to me but they would include a right side and a left side but obviously they didn't so there's been other comments on other websites bashing this fix for this particular product you just have to use your common Sense on how to install it thank you so much for the video I've got a brand new 2022 and I don't want my stuff falling apart so I did a preventative maintenance procedure to prevent this cheers

My fix took about 15 minutes.i have a pro tip, if you suspend the sun visor rod with a piece of twine or rope or whatever up to the ceiling that has where you disconnect your panels from the roof it really helps supporting the rod / sun visor assembly when you're replacing both screws.

I’ve replaced both visors on my JL and also installed those reinforcement brackets on both for preventative maintenance. The driver’s side visor is not cheap.
