Good job Rob! I installed these shortly after purchasing my Gladiator, makes a big difference. My only concern was those little metal tabs that you have to install in slots in the hood - I was afraid I'd drop them and they would be lost in the innards of the hood, there to rattle around forever! Fortunately, I was careful and that didn't happen.
Will definitely be getting these.

One of the first mods I do on our vehicles.
The front strut does not bother me. I like being abler to put hood all the way back agains the roof for 100% light and access. Not sure I want to lose that.
You don't actually lose that. You can easily pop the struts off either the top or bottom nubs (they kind of connect like a grease gun to a zerk) and push the hood all the way back. I love mine.

Your video of putting these things on Randel's Mo-chine let me know these were available. That hood (and on the Mojave only) is all steel! Super appreciative the feel of steel- but heavy! Too old to be trying to hold that heavy hood open while trying to fit that stand thingy. Now just unlitch and let's the struts hold it!
Where were these things in my 67 Buick Electra?
They are still working well on my Mojave. Yeah that steel hood is a pain. Rob’s seems more eager to leap open than mine. But they hold it open well.
My Hood struts bent my hood hinges forward.
it's all great until you accidentally lose the bracket and it goes sliding down inside the hood. then it's impossible to get it back out and of course you can't just buy those two little brackets either. don't ask me how I know 🤔
