Hey, JD, I like your videos. You find such unique old homesteads. Very precious. So much hidden and forgotten h8story. I wonder what drives these people away?? While I am 58, I have a friend age 84. He was born before the Great Depression when Canada wasn't developed yet. He also said that the best homesteads are those where there is a tiny house with a big barn... just sayin
That inflatable has a bite-valve that prevents the air from escaping as you blow it up. You’re supposed to bite on it to open it, so you don’t blow your ears out! Lol, thanks for the laugh JD
I think a lot of the places were winter hunting cabins. No ones there in the summer. Its just a winter camp used for a week or two in the winter during hunting season.....

Minus the mountains this reminds me of going to up to where my great-grandparents place is up in East Texas because there is abandoned houses all around that place some of them have been abandoned for probably 30 years

Hey Michelle, I'm usually by myself and in Public places lots of people ask questions- most are very curious and very nice so I just explain what I'm looking for and what I've found. Since I'm usually filming for TH-cam while I'm digging I usually bring that up as well Lol!
