    This absolutely proves you need fish o a plant-based diet. It has already been shown in studies to be the very best diet.

    Hospitals, doctors offices and schools should be places where good nutrition is taught and provided not places that contribute to disease and obesity. It is crazy the hospitals are feeding people the very food that caused the heart disease, high blood pressure or cancer that they are treating. Every person in the hospital should receive some nutrition education before being released. Every doctor visit should be an opportunity to educate patients about how food choices impacts their health outcomes. The fact that doctors do not get nutrition training as part of their training makes no sense. Medicare and Medicaid should require nutrition education as part of patient care. Focus should be on food choices. Fasting should be investigated as a treatment for disease.

      It really does seem veganism is an ideology. It's not about health and nutrition, it's just about not eating meat and animal foods because it's "evil". It's good if someone comes to that themselves and goes through that whole thing (hopefully getting through it the other end) but it is no good if it's pushed on people and they are just blindly walking into it like a trap.

    Dr. Peter Rogers on his TH-cam channel says this is nonsense. You shouldn't eat ANY fat. None. You get enough fat from the whole foods, mostly starches, you consume.

    • @greensmoothieparty
      @greensmoothieparty 19 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Dr. Rogers has no clinical experience treating patients by offering nutritional advice and following their health outcomes for decades. His dietary theories are based on mechanisms and easily debunked with contrary evidence. His stances are more extreme than any other plant based diet recommending physician (including Dr. McDougall) and are very likely risky long term. I plugged his daily OMAD diet into Cronometer and it was shown to be deficient in several nutrients. Note that Ornish and Esselstyn are more cautious in their recommendations. Dr. Rogers does not follow his own advice about the importance of listening to physicians with decades of relevant clinical experience. Kind of odd, huh?

      @@greensmoothieparty Have you seen his video where he claims to do a ton of push-ups, but he’s only moving up and down about 4 inches? According to his food pyramid that you can find online by googling "Joel Fuhrman food pyramid" he recommends anywhere between 10 to 40 percent of calories coming from nuts, seeds and avocados. I'm not sure what vitamins he recommends.

      On a vegan diet you likely need all of the vitamins, even those that the plant foods you consume'd contain normally because of all the anti-nutrients being consumed.
      That's the reason the diet doesn't work - malnutrition. I'd recommend more of a loose vegetarian/pescetarian diet that includes fish, eggs, raw milk if you just can't bring yourself to eat meat. Please get out while you still can, and know that you can still have love and appreciation for animals even if you'd consume them.

      As children we can tolerate more abuse from the foods we consume. It's the years and years of abuse that breaks the digestive system. If you can't bring yourself to eat meat then you should try a low-fat diet with fish, eggs and raw milk included. Get out while you're relatively healthy.

    • @kathy.7475

      Our digestion can become more sensitive as we age and microbiome change. Sometimes If you give yourself a break from the foods that are bothering you, then later you can add them slowly back in without issue.
