Tbf black and red are what work well both with the HF background stuff, fit well in adventuring logistics of a lot of blood everywhere and that bright yellow wouldn't stay bright for very long Also it gets used a lot due to heroic color theory where your 'leader' tends to incorporate a lot of reds, your lancer/rival is often blue, your nerdy 1 is often green and your sidekick is yellow, etc
to answer the question. yes. Tieflings can be vampires, just like humans, elves and dwarves can. Tieflings aren’t fiends, and they’re far from inately evil, however, because of the racism most experience due to their appearances, they usually end up being treated as such
I have a bloodhunter who was a tiefling but turned into a dhampir as part of his bloodhunter rite. His name WAS Nox Di'var but ummm. He's basically accidentally introduced himself to a fey by his name..

the problem with a big party isn't the spotlight, it's how much of a slog it is and how much longer it takes to resolve even basic few turns of combat. Being made up of 8 people who are good at solving that particular problem helps a lot.
the more people in a party the more it requires players to be able to allow other people the spotlight when that persons turn comes around. I've met plenty of players who CANNOT do that even after being warned. im happy yall have a fun group and can make it work! Fantastic word don't he models as always

@@nesso.9944 Longer/bigger legs is the most obvious one. I mean that's on-top of the original fix to HF figures by making them 7ft tall with the slider (makes them look more like 6ft tall really). Beyond that, it depends on the character and the pose. I'll probably go more in-depth on it in a future video
While I refrain from getting Kitbashing because I would just waste time on it when I don't have that time to waste, I still find your videos incredibly inspiring, in terms of commentary, process, and of course the minis themselves! They get me in the mood for creating the best minis I can without PRO, and I think they still turn out pretty decent. The campaign sounds super fun, with incredibly in-depth characters, so thanks so much for sharing them with us! Keep up the fantastic work :))

Yeah as a paladin player, i can definitely say they're OP. That aura of protection at 6 + lay on hands + smites, you do it all. supporting tanking and damage.
I would love a long for tutorial that shows step by step on how to manipulate the kitbash items with a slow, methodical process. Especially the reducing certain parts of an item, fitting onto the model, and then how to tell that you have successful attached it permanently to the model
I'll consider it. I already did a pretty in-depth KB tutorial for Sky Castle's HF channel, but as the system gets more and more updated I may revisit it soon

Have you ever considered playing Dnd on Tabletop Simulator? It would cost more with the purchase of the model file and Tabletop itself but, you’d have a full 360 view of all the models. Great Video as always, perfect inspo for characters in my new campaign!

I personally like 5 players as a DM and frankly it's for scheduling reasons. I don't have to communicate scheduling with too many players but it's also sizable enough I can still run things well if 1-2 players can't make it.

Hi, I just found out about Hero Forge and your channel like 3 days ago and I fell in love with it! I'm not really into irl dnd game since I never have or play one. But I love designing and creating my own characters. I'm planning to get used to the free version first before deciding to spend money for kitbashing feature, so I just wanna ask is your older tips and guide videos still usable and up to date? Once against, love your videos and designs man!
Possibly! I'm moving to a new place soon where I'll be having more freedom to set up recording for that kind of thing, but there's a lot of factors that go into that so we'll see
From my personal experience, big parties aren’t bad because players don’t get their moments. The real issue is for the DM, who has to manage that many people and handle more enemies to properly challenge a big party.
Every time I see you use a kit bash piece of clothing and just put it on, have chainmail under the plate, or make a fingered glove fingerless, my mind is blown. It seems so simple, it's something i want to do all the time like the most obvious way to improve a mini, yet i just can never quite figure it out
What do you mean by body customisation? I've heard nothing about that! The minis look amazing as usual, and the whacky magical items are so fun, you manage to make them work so well!
eh, i have a 9 person party. there are definitely some issues with a 9 person party however we get on with it. The main issues we ran into were mostly people having stuff to do. this was mostly previlent in our first campaign which was a one piece themed campaign with 8 players, however I had not dmed for a couple of years and they were new players so the backstories sometimes didn't give me a lot to work with. I feel however that issue mostly goes away with practice from both the dm and players. my last campaign I made sure to give arcs and character stuff for each player (some players did miss out however that wasn't because they didn't get any its because they dropped out and came back really close to the end of the campaign with new characters.) Hopfully this campaign I'm currently running wont have that issue but its the only real issue that I've run into.

I am working on model and for what want to do I ran out of kitbash slots so I had to use double model to merge 2 types of pants to get look I wanted. That and guantlets I made require 3 kit bash slots each. Did I miscount or is 20 no longer limit? Or do you have special privileges? Not hating just asking. Your middle are so great. I wish had fraction of your talent.

@ That may be the problem. There’s a feature where you can check if it’s “printable” or not. I want to print my minis, but if I make parts to small or kitbash items just the wrong way, it doesn’t like it. I figured you printed these characters, but maybe not?
Na, I'm limited to just 20 as well! If anything I felt the opposite, as I ended up wasting a lot of slots on very basic things like tiny jewelry in the beard or 2x slots for wings on the boots for both Briar and Vice. But obviously I do try to avoid using Kitbashing for anything that I don't have to, so I still use baseline HF as much as possible
@beancandev7818 like I said that's usually the result of the DM giving them something they don't actually have as the thp is a quite limited range and uses up CD, the flight is only when not in normal light(so you can cause fall damage with a enemy holding a torch/lamp/flash of lightning) and is limited uses and by the time you get the half cover thing there is plenty of other ways to make half cover so also not a big deal
@@ShugoAWay Fair enough. I do think that the 300 ft darkvison is WAY too far (It's longer than superior darkvison, witch is 60 ft) for any level, and they get it at level 1. But I get your point.
@beancandev7818 yeah but other than guard duty during long rests the distance really doesn't matter during actual campaigns as (during a wait for a player who hot caught in construction traffic) I once challenged my players (highly experienced and ran most modules multiple times) to find any maps with line of sight where having more than 120 actually mattered and would ever be dim or dark they only found ~2 (135 in the ice mountain one, ~180 but you have to cover and put out some wall candles in a big cave from a module, and a debated 3rd which was the hill in CoS but we didn't count it for several reasons)
Meric is already is a huge improvement over Grakk. His design ansd concept are awesome. Very King Baldwin IV like. I personally can't stand characters that are cheap ripoffs or parodies from more well known/established IPs. Like honestly, it doesn't cost much to make something original.
