Thanks for the tutorial. I have seen others before but juist a few minutes ago my spedometer lights were gone and now 10 minutes later i have lights again! Easy and fast.
I'm trying to bring my old 2002 1.8TS 156 back to life after sitting for a good few years... your videos are really helpful and I just wanted to say thanks for making them. Of all the Alfa Romeo people on TH-cam you are by far my favourite, thanks again!
Bruno ... really great job you´re doing. I deeply hope, your lokal business is getting skyrocking. We bought our third 156, just to enjoy this beauty of mobility. The latest 156 is a 1.9L 8V 115Hp Sportswagon from 2004. nearly killed by the owner before. Timing belt wasn´t changed for more than 140.000km, waterpump was dead and quite a lot more of killing this car. BUT ... we saved it, by replacing all the old parts with brand new ones from Dayco, Conti and INA/Schaeffler/Conti. Engine is working fine, a little bit rough, but this seems to be common at the 8V 1.9L. Weird is the pulley, as you mentioned in your timing-belt-video. The pulley grinds a tiny bit at the plastic cover, quite a noise, but the plastic-cover seems to be deformed a little bit and can´t be adjusted well. I put a very thin washer at the pulley, now the noise is gone. Do you think the fan-belt will jump of the pulley?
Hello. Thanks a lot for watching! The business is going with its ups and downs.. but that is just the way it is. The blet covers deform and rubber because of the oils and fuel leaks. You solution will work fine as long as the belt doesn't go past the edge of the pulley (too much)
Thank you for informative videos. I have a question; I have 156 mk2 selespeed. City mode goes off by itself. When connected diagnose I read CAN faults. Rev counter cluster? Or anything else? Have you experienced any kind of issue before? Thank you!
Please help, I replaced the gauge bulbs (1 was dead on the speedometer and another one on the tachometer.) Tested it and it was fine. I went to the car later to put everything together, only to find out that the speedo gauge lightning was completely dead. I re-plugged it again, checked if the bulbs were seated correctly but to no avail. Is there some sort of a fuse? or would reconnecting the battery help?
Thanks for the reply. I checked the fuse no. 12 and 13 in the cabin, 13 was popped. I replaced it, nothing. Although I have noticed that only the odometer illumination works. The rest doesn't. I guess checking the rest of the fuses and ultimately both connectors is next 🤷♂️
Hi my friend, Im going to buy a Fiat stilo Schumacher 1.9 150hp with Broken engine, can I replace with the alfa 937a5000? I think that is the same engine, but not sure.

Bruno, should you disconnect battery first before removing the cluster, or is that unnecessary?
Hello. Ignition off is enough for this cars. For newer cars battery off is for the best, yes.
@@alfaromeonoproblem thanks Bruno. Your video was very helpful, Waa able to remove and replace the odometer bulb quite easily after watching.
