Grew up in Hitchin, went to Wilshere Dacre on Fishponds Road, then Hitchin School- the old Bessemer in the last male only year. Saw movies at the Regal and played at Ransoms Rec. Watched the Canaries play at Top Field and delivered the Comet newspaper every Wednesday between Bancroft Park and the railway station as a teen. Was a kid when they built the police station right behind my house on Grove Road.
