Commandos 2 - White Death - Speedrun (Very Hard, all bonus books, objectives)

A serious mistake at the end wasted several seconds - the Spy needed to be ordered to go towards the plane first, then call the radio. There's a potentially big improvement - you don't have to use the Balloon to get the Clue, then the bunch of soldiers guarding it may be left alone. It would probably change the overall route a lot though.
Rules:
- In-game time is the only goal. Inventories, objectives list and pause don't waste time.
- All bonus books.
- All objectives - Secondary and Clues. Since the mission result screen doesn't keep track of Clues, objectives list must be open during the mission to showcase all Clues as completed.
- Not being detected and not being injured, the former means that must not be fully seen by the enemies at any point (even unarmed ones and snipers), but blue-red flashing is allowed.
- No alarm. Events that normally raise the alarm are allowed in alarm-insensitive areas. If explosions are required by the objectives, they're allowed at the end of the mission (within last minute).
- No shooting enemies, except for using the sniper rifle. Also, the default pistol is allowed for distracting the enemies.
- No Ctrl glitch (harpoon on land, Natasha's undetectable sniper rifle), no Syringe glitch (affecting an enemy far away). - เกม

I've perused your C2 videos, and you're a freakin' virtuoso. I played this game years ago, and you do make it look ridiculously easy. Good job.
I don't know if you use glitches, other than the instant-complete animations for tying guards up and such, but here's one you might find useful. If you hold Ctrl down, it automatically aims the last weapon the commando used. On missions with the Diver, you can dive underwater, take a few shots with the harpoon gun and then surface again.
After that, you can fire the harpoon anywhere, even on land. It's got about the same range as a thrown knife, makes less noise, and doesn't need to be recovered.
Regardless, this stuff is great to watch. You're fantastic.
Thanks a lot for the comment, i purposefully avoided that glitch (mentioned in the description). It indeed could make things faster in a couple of missions (White Death especially), but these runs aren't "any%" anyway, i used quite arbitrary rules to make for a play style that is the most aesthetically pleasing in my opinion (a true "any%" speedrun would involve running in front of the guards, getting shot at a lot, etc)
OMG, please all this comments trying to put this guy down, trying to find flaws, the guy is good, really good, it dont matter what level it is, im here because i just got the game on switch and i need a visual of what to do im stuck, this guy is good, dont be jealous dont hate, appreciate.

Why when you run behinde them
they dont hear you
Why can't the enemy hear your footsteps as you run
In this mission are deaf enemies, they don't hear you when you're running. It's only in this mission. Try yourself ;)

I remember long time ago I was just able to finish this game only with cheats as a child. And after a long time playing with it, this was the first map where I discovered that I can throw knife with the diver :D I enjoyed playing even more after that discovery :D, and after like 20 years here from youtube I discovered that I can hack my harpoon and able to use it on the surface, that made me play again with this game :D Much love

You have to be the most skilled Commandos player in my honest opinion, really nice work! People say Destination Paris mod is hard and challenging, but I disagree, that mod pretty much turns the game into a Save-Load fest, where you Save-Load 10 times just to make another step. Feels extremely repetitive. The mod forces stealth on you for the most part and a lot of missions are plain masochist. It's not even about skill anymore, because any person who keeps up with the save-load cycle will eventually find the most efficient route to move further. That's why the way you play the game is extremely impressive, it's really strategical. I'm surprised more people don't speedrun this game, because it'll probably be one of the best games to speedrun, considering how many possibilities there could be to run it.
Just realized you have Destination Paris videos on your channel too lol. Guess I'll check them out and see how you play them, maybe I'll change my mind.
guys i need help, i finished all the tasks but still the plane dont take off i rly dont know why, any help?
Green Beret and Spy must be in the plane and one of them must carry all the Enigma-related items. Everyone else must be in the sub, including the ally sailors
I have the same question. I rescued everyone and put them in submarine. I have enigma pieces and machine on green beret and he is in the plane with thief. But i cant trigger the cutscene

Bro, you're right I've even tried it there are some deaf enemies.. lol never noticed it. :D
This doesnt look like the very hard mode
If the mission results screen isn't enough, you can see how the enemies' vision lines starts flashing red-blue right away, that only happens on "Very Hard", it'll be just blue for a second or more on the lower difficulties.

You are a good cheater
Please explain how i cheated. The only thing that could look suspicious is the deaf enemies, but in that case, load up the mission and try running behind the first soldier yourself.
