    @Waxbae I just wanted to thank you I’m 26 years old and I just got my immediate dentures. I’ve had hereditary problems all my life and dentures were the best way to solve the issue. Seeing how they were made and seeing the process and time that someone put into the object that now is not only going to boost my confidence but also better my life was thrilling. Thank you so much for uploading the process I can only hope that my teeth went through your facility because that means they got the care and love that I just witnessed in your video your a great person and keep doing you. :D

      @@WAXBAE thanks for replying. I work a lot as a security officer so i totally forgot to check to see if you replied. I actually saw your timeline and saw you posted my comment with the 🥺 face. I’m looking into getting permanent dentures next do you have a video on how the top and lower arch is made for that? I’m trying to figure out how expensive that process is going to be I don’t make a lot of money and I’m young so trying to make it all work out is difficult since I don’t have long before my jaw bone starts to decay and I lose the opportunity to get permanent implants. But I have faith it will all work out.

I had gorgous teeth until four yrs ago and all of a sudden out of the blue I couldn't live without one in my mouth... jolly ranchers are on my nightstand, in my bathroom and I keep them in my bra and my pocketbook...all of my fronts still look good from the outside but on the back side they are ruined and my heart is broken because I just can't stop....so they took my impressions today, I wish you were going to be the one making my immediate dentures because it looks like you've been doing it for a while... Lab tech for 33 years. Managed a full service lab for 17 years, and owned my own full service lab. There's a much easier, better way to do this. If you still have anterior teeth, which is the case here, you would really want to grind off one side (in this case it would be the patients right side, since #9 is in relatively good shape). Then, you set the upper side you just ground on, matching the opposite quadrant as far as whatever is left (i.e. lengths of laterals or cuspids that might still be present). The most important thing, though, is matching the adjacent central. Then, once this quadrant is set, you grind off the adjacent quadrant's teeth, set those in line with what you just setup on the other side, and then use your plane to make sure they are horizontally level. Then, you can grind off ALL the lowers and set to upper. NOTE: this way is ONLY going to work if the patient has a decent #8 or #9 or even laterals and cuspids would work sort of. If they are missing all the front uppers, then you can do it like above with the measuring and whatever, but typically the patient would have had a Flipper(temporary partial) that they are wearing, and the clinician should take an impression of the upper with it in place. Then you can measure the teeth and just pick the corresponding tooth card that matches the L and W. Or, if there are still enough lowers where you can hand-articulate the pre-op to the lower, you can just mark your upper teeth placement on the lower(that's why you grind them off last).If none of that exists, then at that point, you'd just look for tooth pockets or creases in accordance to your landmarks like the incisive papilla and median palatal suture line and begin your setup there. There really is no reason to have to measure, scribe lines, then pick random teeth, hold them up and measure them, then measure then rinse and repeat. ugh. so tedious.

    I had my teeth extracted 4ish years ago. I went to Aspen. I did not have any issues with Aspen. They made me a temporary denture to ware from day 1 until 6 months when they made my final set. When I received the final set everything fit well and still does. I had a choice between good, better or best. I chose Best. i have never had to have any adjustments etc. half way thru the 6 months and the swelling going down. I had to start using denture cream to help hold the denture in. Today I use nothing. They explained that the lower grade denture may be and feel thicker. They also said if I drop in the sink they may break easy hence my choice of the more expensive denture. They also made a bridge for the lower. All went great and things are still good.This is not a advertisement for Aspen. My Dentist of 45 years retired. After going to many other dentist and not finding anyone that I felt comfortable with I chose Aspen plus it is close to my home. FYI, your teeth and smile look good. Congrats.

      The acrylic is Ivoclar. Using the Ivocap injection method. This is a very old and dated system. Way too much cost, time, effort and energy for an immediate denture.
      Which more often than not is a temporary denture. They now make high impact acrylic for the pour technique. 100% better in every way.

    This was interesting to watch, can I ask why you use a fully adjustable artic? I only use my Stratos if I'm making a snore appliance or a nightguard, it just seems too bulky...? Maybe I'd get used to it if I used it more... 🤔

    Absolutely beautiful work! I was wondering how do you know what size and shape teeth to use if the person has broken teeth down to their gums? Do these go in right after a person has just had their teeth extracted?

    • @WAXBAE
      @WAXBAE  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! We usually ask for old photos of the patient if they cherished thier old teeth, but if they don’t then we work together to find the best set of teeth that suits them in an appointment under different lights and shades

    Wow.....if only Id had gotten a great dentist like You. My teeth are now forever a mess, the dentures they wanted to give me for top were terrible. They didnt fit properly, teeth were too tiny for my big mouth, my luck with dentists has usually been bad. I had one real young girl try to pull my abcessed tooth while I was crying from Severe pain. The shots weren't working, after a half hour of balling , she couldn't pull I could feel Everything. I finally said forget this and told her to Stop. Id Love to have had dentures like ones you made, they look perfect.

    Thank you for posting such interesting and educational videos. I have a question though if you could please help. How do you go from 11:50 to 11:51? How do you remove all of the stone cast/mold base before you put them in the flask? You had all that plaster that was used in the articulator removed in between those steps and I am interested in how you did it so that the mold looks so clean and smooth. TIA

    • @WAXBAE
      @WAXBAE  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question! I snap it off with sheers off the cast. Before investing them in flasks. Thanks for watching

    Why did you take out the mandibular teeth right from the beginning? It may give you the correct location of the maxillary teeth. How did you decide the flaring of the anterior teeth without the contoured wax rims?!?? In my opinion, it is hard to figure out the buccal fullness just in the lab without clinical clues.
    My comment is not a criticism but just a question to learn the objective of your technique.

    • @WAXBAE
      @WAXBAE  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for you question.I usually mark everything on the casts and record all the important info plus what we get from clinical consultation with the patient. I encourage you to see my other immedate denture making videos, I have many way of doing them depending on the case and spacing.
