Think it's pretty usual to get a patriotic feeling when you watch a video from the country you're from. It could be that Norwegians have more of this feeling based of the country's history.
Yeah I think the area most guaranteed to pay off is Fjord country and that's south of Ålesund. Trollstigen is overrated, if you have to choose. In my "I visited Norway for a little over a week once" opinion. :)
@@cr0ft-2k There are many roads like trollstigen which are less crowded. Whenever there's a long tunnel (and they are plentiful), there's usually a really twisty steep mountain road nearby from before the tunnel was built. Just look for zig-zags on the map :)
Ganska kul video & resa, håller på planera min resa med några vänner och blir mer inspirerad varje gång man kollar på såna videos. Bara jag kommer köra en 1200gs
I always take for granted living in Norway, when i watch youtube and see how other people have experienced norway its itching to go out and ride my motorcycle to trollstigen. I have oonly been there with a car. I planning to go there next year, i'm soo excited.
Feels so good to see you breathing this fresh air while riding, in true sense this is life, this is living. I'm a bike and tourer enthusiast too , been to many places in India with my bike. You are welcome here
That keystone arch bridge at 10:03 is gorgeous. The whole area is gorgeous, it makes one believe that all is right in the world 👏. I wish you had shown Lillehammer so I could see if it compared with the Netflix series 😁.
Man this is a dream ride. So serene and relaxed- my kind of ambiance when exploring. I wouldn't have wanted these days to end if i was the one riding. Thank you for documenting this, it's so beautiful.
I’m glad you got to live your dream of riding in Norway. I think it’s the most beautiful country in the world with breathtaking scenery. I have always wanted to visit Trollstigen, Bergen, and Oslo. I’m a new rider of motorcycles and when my skills improve I will hopefully live out my dream to ride in Norway. Thank for sharing your dreams with us!
Trollstigen is very "Norway" to me. "Proper safety railings? SURE! We'll put some pointy rocks next to the giant drop into the valley, that will do!" :)
That is a beautiful place. Thanks for the view of beauty. When thinking of the great outdoors that just shows how much is out there to be seen. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Great video from an area that should be visited more often. The mountains, the fjords, and all that you just have to see. I wish you a great autumn. Best wishes from Jan in N.......
I have been to Norway two times by Motorcycle. First time up to the Norkapp, second time via Bergen up to the Lofoten and Westeralen. Great rides each!
Thanks, a superb video. I'm planning 3 weeks up through Norway on motorbike from UK, next summer. I can't wait. My first bike, at 60, was an F800 GT so I was riding there with you.
you are one of the few who plan, edit and present their videos on a very cinematic manner. and I LOVE ITTTT! i'm turning off my adblocker just on your videos! I'm bingewatching your old videos and i would love to see more in the future :) i'll present you as one of my most favorite foreign motovloggers and I know my fellow Filipino riders will also love your content
Love what you did with this video. Only using an action-camera and a point-and-shoot makes it feel like a vacation video (which it probably is). Really shows what you can do with minimal equipment and great storytelling.
I lived in Eidfjord for 24 years, and have lived in voss for 22 ,you drove by both places!.....i ride these roads almost every day in the season:)...i am really proud to live here and often stop to talk to foreign bikers, they are stunned by the roads and the views:)...i ride my ducati as its the last day on earth, every time:)
We visited Eidfjord on a cruise and saw a little campsite that only takes 5 or 6 tents and I said to my girlfriend "we have to come back here on the bike" we did it in 2018 and I'm planning on returning to Norway next year. I love the place!
Var där själv i sommar, körde sandefjord -> Rujkan -> odda -> Voss -> geiranger > Trollstigen sen Lillehammer hem. Fantastiskt resa, kul att se din med!
For others, you should really skip the E-16 from Voss to Bergen and go via Øystese and Norheimsund to Os, over Fanafjell and then Bergen, takes just an hour longer and it`s so much worth it. Not just tunnels, but fjords and nice driving roads for bikes.
Wonderful! I have been watching Norwegian videos for some time, mostly either by train or by semi truck. Incredibly beautiful country! When I was in high school, half a century ago, I dreamed of touring Europe on a BMW. I've fulfilled many of my other dreams, but, alas, not that one.
Really nice pictures, and the scenery is amazing. We made a roadtrip there about a month ago, although traveled a bit more, from Umeå to Trondheim, the Atlantic Road, Trollstigen, Geiranger, Bergen, Hardanger, Oslo, and Stockholm in six days... 8 hours of driving per day. Exhausting but very worth it.
Enjoyable video, I like your effort to keep the viewer informed and fill the gaps with appropriate tunes. Splendid scenry. Thailand is a favorite motorcycling destination for Europeans with world class scenery , remarkable culture and more twisties than most people can imagine, and no winter weather to slow you down. Among many notable sport bike runs is the Mae Hong Son loop, 500 KM of mountains and 1864 curves. Regardz!
Loved the video. heading to Norway in Dec for Xmas but not the best time of year for a bike tour! And maybe not on my ZXR! You certainly have inspired me to get on to organizing it!
Really nice trip you've done there buddy, and some really good footage. Did a ride around the Hardanger plateu this summer as well, only I didn't have any rain, quite the opposite I had close to 30c (86F) the whole trip and had to stop to get sweat out of my boots... I whent south after Eidsfjord and headed for Odda and then after passing the Haukeli mountain pass i explored the area there, some nice snakeing roads there too, just not so crowded. Then i headed home to Vestfold by following the shore. Was testing out my new ride, a '15 MT09 tracer, loved it!
Amazing video Mike! I am from Bergen so this is so fun to watch, Norway is truly a beautiful country. I am working on taking my motorcycle license now and i cant wait until i can explore my amazing home on a motorcycle.
i'll give it my best shot first chance i get to go on a vacation tour there. i ll probably be able to rent a moto once there. but first i need to find a new job ^^. thank you for your video Mike. Your entire channel is great.
Beautiful country and people. Filmed really well too. For a motorcyclist the roads are also fun. Around 200km north east of Bergen you will find the longest road tunnel in the world, its over 24km long. They put light displays al9ng the tunnel to stop drivers falling sleep. Shame their speed limits are so low and their fines so high though
Thank you for such a nice video about Norway. I live here and know er are lucky to have this beautiful country. Envy your bike trip. I have been in Bergen but not taken the trip from there to Ålesund. I have traveled Kystriksveien and been to Ofoten. One the way you will be able to experience them midnight sun.
it's my turn this year. going from larvik to geirangerfjorden. And back has set aside 10 days for the trip so must of course have some more things put into the trip.
Biggest problem with riding here in Norway is very low speed limits and extreme penalties for speeding. People in cars are usually very mindful when it comes to letting you pass and giving you space. Unlike in LA, hehe. Glad you enjoyed the ride!
Thank you for your video, it made me change my mind about visiting Norway this summer with my motorcycle. Looking at the shitty weather and grey skies, I guess I'll be better off with a campervan.
"Trollstigen" actually means "Troll's ladder", not "Troll's trail". "Stig", in Swedish, means trail, track, or path. In Norwegian "stige" means a ladder, where you can climb up. In Norwegian a trail, path or track is called a "sti". So no matter how similar these languages might seem, they are still quite different. Anyhow, great video! Thanks! :-)
Nice bike F800ST i had one a few years back, but not one for that kind of tour. Just got back from a Norway Tour from the UK. Got as far as the Arctic Circle Tourist Center. Loved it so much i want to go back. Great weather, around 22c.
Thanks for documenting your experience! Can you do a video on windscreen configuration for touring? Does the wind hit your helmet or go over? How do you minimize noise? For touring screens should you look through it? Thanks!

true

Because of Norwegian megmeg laws I have to tell you that i'm from Norway!!!
Norway the most beautiful country in the world, i like to viset my neighbours :)
Man world is beautiful in my 6inch screen
One of my wishes is to visit Norway on my Harley. That would be awesome! 😌
You should ride in the northern parts of Norway sometime. Helgelandskysten and Lofoten are 2 beautiful destinations.
My favourites in southern Norway: Lysevegen fv500, sauda-røldal 520, Røldal skicenter mountain pass,...
Will definitively go there again!

This is possibly one of the best videos I have seen on youtube
Was there about a month ago but using 4 wheels. It’s really hard to find nonscenic roads and places in Norway. Been there twice but I will be back 😀
What a great trip and a great video!!! That is the way we want to lead our lives!!! Well done
The best ride video I've ever seen. Thumbs up from the Philippines!
Oh I seen movies from The Philippines it’s look really nice and my friend is from the Philippines 🇵🇭
