I'm so tired about hearing journalists complaining about the loss of the 3rd row. GOOD! It was too snall for this vehicle, even for emergency trips. If you need a 3rd row, get a Pathfinder. Alex. Please stop talking about that.
Nissan Rogue is a good looking vehicle inside and out... doesnt need an unnecessary third row. But, no way will I purchase a 1.5 L /3 cylinder vehicle and to make matters worse... a CVT. Such a shame...
For a base engine, the three is fine. While they're only starting to get common in the US, they've been used heavily around the world and there is nothing wrong with them.
I love the Rogue's freshening here. I do NOT like glossy black painted trim, as the appearance will be swirled and "quickly aged" with just a few years of car washes.
The refresh looks great. If you want a Rogue, just go with the Mitsubishi Outlander instead. It's based on the Rogue, but comes with a naturally aspirated 2.5L 4cyl. engine and a 10yr/100k mile powertrain warranty.
My next door neighbor bought one of these. And she had a Toyota Highlander for the longest time. After personally having such disappointing experiences with a 2013 Pathfinder and 2018 Note, I can’t in good conscience recommend a Nissan anymore. They’re not like what they used to be. To anyone reading this, please stay away from Nissans.
I'm still not used to seeing vehicles with the DRLs on top with the headlights on the bottom, away from the DRLs. I wish car makers would go back to integrating those two lights together into one module.
I have nothing against 3-cylinder engines per-se, but they don’t exactly have a stellar reputation for reliability, especially when paired with turbos.
@@IchibunsYeah, exactly. It's just like the people who complained when V-6s supplanted V-8s - and then they grumbled again about fours. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a modern three. It's plenty powerful enough for this kind of vehicle.
This refreshed look is better in my opinion, the car looks better, more premium. It’s a really good car, it was last year’s Motortrends winner in its segment I believe.
The three is a perfectly good base engine - powerful enough and decent sounding. We may sniff at them in the US, but they've been used for a long time in other markets without problems.
We can try and check back at the end of 2024 but so far in 2023 Nissan has sold 211,xxx and that's nearly the same amount as all the cars combined. I bet more will sell than you think. -Travis
"Small 3-cylinder turbocharged engine with a Jatco CVT." That is the EXACT recipe for the most unreliable new vehicle you could possibly purchase. Purchased by people who want to save a few thousand dollars compared to some other equivalent vehicles, yet that turbocharged engine and that CVT transmission will need FAR MORE MAINTENANCE in order to remain reliable. Change the oil every 3,000 to 5,000 miles, change the transmission fluid every 20,000 miles, and clean the intake ports every 20,000 miles (yes, the intake ports that the direct fuel injection won't clean at all), and you might get 100,000 miles out of one of these things. If you won't put that kind of maintenance into one of these, I'll give you two words of advice: LEASE IT. And then run away from it as fast as you can, when the lease expires. If you are truly interested in one of these things, learn about "small turbocharged engines," "Jatco CVT," and "direct fuel injection port cleaning." You'll find plenty of information about the problems that these systems have, and what you can do (a whopping whole lot more maintenance) to keep them running properly.

If they added the third row, Alex would complain about the room - guaranteed.
Still annoyed they didn't put in ventilated seats. That's the one thing I really want upgrading from my Rogue Select.
I don't understand why they haven't made ventilated seats an option. The Tucson and RAV4 both offer that as an option.
I’m curious if this means the Outlander will get an update for 2025. It remains unchanged for 2024.
I think the update looks great. The previous design had strong rental car vibes. This looks much more premium and modern.
No hydraulic hood struts, using the rod strut that was last used in 1947 Ford.
Very minimal piano black. Very nice. Is it me or is that a bigger screen than there is in the pathfinder?
I have a 2021 Rogue. And I absolutely love it. This is a nice upgrade. Don’t really like the front end though.
Get rid of it before 100 k miles
Would be awesome with a better drivetrain

Right! I love the way this vehicle looks. Too bad its a CVT

@@markmiller3279Ford has been using 3-cylinder EcoBoosts in Europe, but they are notorious for blowing up.
You’re okay with a 4-cylinder 1.5 with a CVT (CR-V)?
The engine is designed by infiniti and its actually very good
Kinda preferred the look before the refresh. But Still handsome inside and out

It used to have a third row...turned into an Uber favorite for Uber XL. The take rate was very low.

I really like the upgrade for the top end version.
A 3 cylinder engine mated to a JATCO CVT??? 😅😮😢

The Pathfinder desperately needs this flavor of refresh.
Love nissan the best experience with all my cars❤
The front of the new Rogue look like my 2013 Ford Edge. And that's not a compliment.

Those are called Ford and there pieces of crap
I agree!
Did they find a fix for the gas smell??
In the press release, Nissan wrote “gas fumes don’t leak into the cabin anymore”
4:40 oh the shade ;D
Would like to see them drop a 3.8 twin turbo in the rouge and call it the nismo GT-R tribute edition with 800 HP and all wheel drive
That’s not gonna happen
Rogue Hybrid would have been sweet. Nissan management is smoking funky.
NO to a 3 cylinder engine and NO to a CVT.
Needs a 4 cylinder naturally aspirated hybrid
what's wrong with a 3-cylinder engine?
@@dennisscipio Fewer cylinders hurts their feelings. Low confidence in themselves.

Front end is hideous
Well, that’s just, like, your opinion, man…
Is Nissan trying to follow Lexus with design language of having large "in-your-face" grilles?
where is the midnight version xD
Delete Shiny Black Plastic 2024
I didn’t think they could make the drive train worse. The 3 cylinder confirms they can!
There's nothing wrong with 3 cylinder engines.
The engine "so far" is fine. It's that Jatco CVT. This could use the Pathfinders 9 speed.

THEY ARE STILL JUNK!! DO NOT PURCHASE!!!
No Rogue E-POWER in North America, lame Nissan. Dump that CVT Nissan.
Nissan reliability and resale value doesn't come close to Toyota and Honda. I would take the Rav4 or CRV any day over this vehicle.

The only Nissan that is selling well...its sad as Nissan was such a success 20yrs ago...maybe 15yrs ago.
Could be worse. Could be Mitsubishi.
@onesteeltank true but I think they own either big percentage of Mitsubishi or all of it...
