The maxpeeding rods in my mk4 golf are actually amazing for costing under $200 for the set. Slammed with no bottoming out, not a bouncy ride. It's funny how good they work for now.

Depends on the car and the brand you’re dealing with. Ebay brands are a no go 100%.
But ive got a 335i on racelands(lol) and they ride perfect for me and its been 10k+ miles. They also have a lifetime warranty. There’s also some base bilstein coilovers for my car that only cost $200 more ($750) and the reviews are great on those too (pretty reputable brand too). Not saying I wouldnt get some better ones, (i have more money now then when i did when installed the racelands) but I’m just saying research can save a few bucks depending on the options for your car.

Currently I'm running a set of Godspeed Mono RS coilovers on my S14. This is my first set of coilovers for the car. I paid right around $800 for this setup off of ebay and they ride great. With the ride quality, high adjustments, dampening adjustments, and camber adjustments in the front, I can honestly say I got my money's worth. But in the future I do plan on upgrading to Form and Function Type 2 coilovers for a stiffer spring rate.

I have an 01 Audi on $400 Raceland coilovers. I have no issues with them. About 50K miles so far and they ride pretty damn good!

You can still cheap out and not get complete garbage tho. I have Godspeed Mono SS coilovers on my Speed 3 that were ~$700 brand new. Yeah, they're a little bouncy cuz of the spring rates but not nearly as bad as I thought they'd be. They are also single way adjustable like BC BR coils. Except that the rear adjustment knobs don't require you to cut into the rear of your car to reach them like the BCs do. That's the main reason I bought the Godspeeds. They're not as high quality as BCs with Swift springs. But mine is a daily, so I didn't want to spend a ton of money on something that will be 85% daily, 10% back roads, and 5% track car.

Bilstein coilovers (inverted monotube only) came installed with thick bump stop. They can take quite a bit of abuse and actually last you 50K miles at reasonably lowered heights. Their basic coilovers (PSS or B14, whichever way you'd like to call it) are about 1K depending on application and coupons, which has awesome value compared to other similarly-priced options.

I lowered my Stinger GT when I had it because it looked off-road ready at stock ride height. Looked horrendous. Debating lowering my Camaro SS, but I’m not sure if I will. It’s not nearly as bad as the stinger was and it’s nice to not have the negatives of lowering anymore. Like scraping the center/underside of my car on crests, increased tire wear due to alignment geometry changes, and more. Would look great though.

Honestly I think for you guys who Sell wheels tires and suspension, yall need to make a video on commong issues with coilovers and problems that may occur when setting them up and maintain them. It's not enough to just promote products and talk about brands. What about longevity, use and maintenance? Maybe do a video on coilover set ups that are proven for a daily drivers looking lower but do not want a stiff af ride? And so on.

I run $400 raceland coilovers on my 10th gen civic and yeah there's little to no dampening adjustability but for the price point it didn't matter to me all I wanted was the lowering adjustability and it did that.got them in 2019 and 3 years later the coilovers are still holding up,I think the max lowest I can go is 3.5 inch drop but I dropped my car 2.5 inches and it looks good and still can go over bumps without breaking or scraping my car.To me it was a better option than spring since most spring sets are around the price point of Raceland coilovers anyways.

I'm new to the modding community and made a costly error. I ended going with an entire RSR Active Coilover system for my Supra when I could have just gone with the HKS Adjustable Springs. It would have saved me about $2000... which could have gone towards upgrades that would have made more sense for my street only car.
Cheaper is not always a bad thing. Just understand what your end goal for your project is. As with my example, if your car already has a decent suspension system and all you're looking for is ride height adjustment. Then something like adjustable springs are perfect.

Talking about after purchase support, fortune auto had possibly the worst customer support.
I took my civic si to a shop to very reputable speed and track prep shop to install some fortune auto 500’s. The shop owner called me to inform me the spring length and spring rate where the wrong size, advising me to call fortune auto to get the correct size. They responded with:
“We do not make mistakes like that, you’re wrong.”
The conversation ended there. I tried to call and email after that and no response. The speed shop owner sourced some swift springs in the right length and rate, they worked well after that.
I won’t ever recommend fortune auto to anyone, nor buy from them. I’ve never had an issue with HKS or KW, who both make a superior suspension set up.
Currently on HKS Hipermax GT on my AP1 S2000, staying loyal to HKS.

When it comes to the automotive industry, especially the aftermarket side of things, you get what you pay for at least 99% of the time. You can get lucky and find something from a cheap spot that is actually worth having and using but it is rare.

@@PLSZNOPHOTOS idk what to tell you other than theyre just cheap crap, someone put brand new ones on a car i bought in the middle of December and in the beginning of january the car started riding like shit and sounded sketch and i raised the car up and looked at them and there was so much play in the struts from them being bent from them not being able to handle little bumps in my daily work route. They ended up ruining my outer tie rods aswell and i had to dump about 800 into complete new stock struts and outer tie rods aswell as getting the car realigned because they threw the car way off.
