How would you inspect a card as a suspected fake without taking it out of the sleeve and doing stuff like the bend test?
@@diddymouse816 get a jeweler's loupe and look at the green mana symbol on the back. you'll be able to see a "red L" made of 4-5 red dots. this will prove it is real as wizard's printers are the only ones that do this. the card printers all do a sequence of colored sprays in the form of small dots and do it so many times that it ends up becoming an image. the surefire way is the red L.

As the letter stated at the beginning of the video, EVERY card that was sent is in the LP to HP range (Lightly Played to Heavily Played). Carefully touching them does not reduce their quality when they're already lightly (or more) played!

So glad I traded for dual lands back during the Revised period. So many kids got rid of theirs thinking it was a worthless land for their pack's rare.
yeah its kinda crazy how the power nine doesnt have any creatures if I recall and creatures are the cards most kids are intrested in.

the guy packaged his cards with such care and thoughtfulness. all the extra effort paid off and kept them safe through the post but then they got to rudy's despondent carefree roughness hands. that poor guy probably watched this video and died on the inside. I cant imagine how Rudy packaged them for the return trip lol

@mikes gt Most likely because he disinfects and thouroughly washes and dries them before any of these videos, Many of the grading companies also do the same thing.

Dude! I had Drew Tucker as a drawing teacher in college. He mentioned he worked a lot for MTG and asked if any of us knew about it. I've been waiting to see what cards he was the illustrator for and he did Plateau! He's an awesome guy. That was 6-8 years ago but I just googled to see if he was still at the college and it appears so.

Hi Rudy, Intranet is basically an internet-like network accessible only to authorized personnel, usually only from a single location or a handful of locations. The idea is that a company can use an intranet to have easy-to-use web portals for a variety of functions without making these accessible to the general public. I'm sure there are other applications as well, but that's the gist of it.

oh man, i had a Revised "Taiga" in my first starter pack as a kid. my older cousin traded it against crappy cards, and not only the Taiga. but as a kid i just wanted beefy creatures like Ernham Djinn and so on.. however, i still have bulk of magic cards ( revised, 4th, ice age, fallen empires, homelands, alliance) but im too lazy to look up the prize.

Well Rudy an Intranet is a network located inside your company network that is not accessible from outside your company network, the internet is a place you go to buy magic cards from strangers all over the world that may or may not take you to Hose Town. I get sad seeing all the duel lands knowing I sold the 30 I had before the spiked. Still have some cards from when I started playing but no duels.
Back in the day, I had over 120 of these R & U duals. Revised isn't fit to carry Unlimited's jock strap.
WHY IS HE TAKING THEM OUT OF THE SLEEVES AND SLAMMING THEM ON THE TABLE
Lets start with the slamming them on the table, At that point when they are not lightly being placed on the table they are in 2 protective sleeves, A hard plastic one and a thin plastic sleeve. The cards will be fine, a flexible plastic case like that is not going to shatter on a light impact to the back. He's taking them out because to be able to tell a genuine card from a fake card you need to be able to actual see the card without the glare from two plastic coverings and be able to feel the actual card to see if it's the right thickness and texture. When you handle something regularly, you know when something feels wrong.
Did they really want Rudy to check the authenticity of their cards, or did they just want to show off? Couldn't they check the cards themselves, using Rudy's videos for reference?🤔

Showing off sounds legit to me. On the other hand, any X k $ investment can use an extra check right ? I'd probably do the same
If them "showing off" means that they keep themselves unknown, and I get to see a stack of beautiful duals, I opt for more showing-off.
I would wager that since Rudy could be considered an expert, this would help any claims having a video like this in the case of a home owners/renters claim on insurance.

I have a couch at home that costs the same as some of those cards but I'm able to touch it and sit on it. And I rather play with my cards than lock them up in a safe.

Intranet is a information server that is only connected locally to computers on a security sensitive site and not globally like the internet so it cant be hacked from the outside only locally and only directly from a server or computer that has security access to the server.
