- With the results of the 2024 Lok Sabha election now out, it is time to look back and analyse what this means for the polity and India's body politic. In this exclusive interview with Frontline's Suhrid Sankar Chattopadhyay, sociologist Surajit C. Mukhopadhyay, professor and dean at Sister Nivedita University, spoke about the outcome of the general election in West Bengal, the perception regarding political leaders in the minds of the public, the politics of polarisation, and more.

Captivating analysis, my friend. You got me pretty convinced with your logic.
👍
Insightful discussion, however, the social fabric of Bengal is changing and needs a more focus on practical aspects of social life like poverty, unemployment, socio - economic issues, human development etc, rather than identity politics . Bengal socio cultural vacuum needs an alternative form of ideology that can blend Right and Left wing as per the necessary and sufficient conditions of social fabric.
Excellent analysis 😊
Very articulate
Well articulated sir 🙂
Good analysis..
I think the 2026 WB Assembly elections will again be battle royale between TMC & BJP with the Left again in the contest as minor player
Polarisation on religious basis is a wrong term which helps RSS hide behind structure a social engineering mechanism in the form social work.
Communalism born out of suffering of partition is not a reality. RSS ideology of communalism is a deeper strategy of social engineering. The actual election message is a clear 'nomo' to this type of divisive politics.
F stands for failed.
Nonsense, making Hindus understand their responsibilities towards the nation is very important, giving up secularism which in other words is giving up love for terrorists is priority
Nobody is anymore taking you guys seriously.
@@dangerous_ideas16 neither are we! On the contrary we have started pitying you
