- Poll analyst Prashant Kishor is speaking to India Today for the first time after his prediction for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections proved wrong. Earlier Prashant Kishor had repeatedly predicted that the BJP would repeat its 2019 performance, but stressed it would be difficult for the party even with the help of its allies to surpass the 400-mark. He had forecast the BJP would not get more than 370 seats but not fall below the 270-mark. After the exit polls also predicted a landslide for NDA, he had asked the public to not waste their "valuable" time on "fake journalists", "loudmouth politicians" and social media experts after exit polls projected a landslide victory for BJP-led NDA in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

He didn't. Only mistake is giving numbers. If you hear original interview. PK said that BJP will get less in North and West, but balance it out on East and south. So he got the trend right, but numbers or intensity incorrect.
And.. btw, he worked hard to give victories to BJP's opposition. He revealed in Aap Ki adalat that how Congress responded to his help to them.

As a Data engineer and developer in prediction tools myself , I can give you all guys one clear understanding, getting data is one different thing and predicting based on the data is one different thing... As these pollsters first gather data of votes, vote shares, voting% ... The prediction models only process this source data based on different criterias to give some sensible information... But if data fed to these AI models itself is wrong, no one can do anything... So real question is who gatered these source data and what is sample size, region size of this data

For example Let's say one sample batch data they collected was from urban areas the result polls generated would be in favor of NDA, as INDIA got most of votes from rural areas.. So main question is what was there criterias while collecting sample batches.. If we get this info.. Much confusion can be cleared
