Yes, I have done that. However, the pain in the butt is that they don't have a service centre in the whole of West Africa. The only one I found in Ivory Coast said they only fix agri-drones for DJI. This leaves me with no choice but to ship to China under ridiculous strict drone laws in Nigeria. But thanks all the same, your advice was helpful.
Obstacle avoidance doesn't work during night or under low light conditions... It also warns you when its in low lights conditions that the obstacle avoidance will not work. You should had read more about it and at least seen some tutorials to be aware of the settings and limitations of this drone.... Basically obstacle avoidances works with cameras, not sound sensors nor IR sensor, its based on visible light sensors... If there's no enough light, the drone automatically disables the obstacle avoidance setting and warns the user of it.... Next time be more careful about it.
Hi there, whether it's DJI Mini 4 Pro or DJI Mini 3 Pro, during the night, the vision systems may not work due to the low light conditions, and the obstacle avoidance system may not work. Please fly with caution. Thank you.
@@TellAfrica you should try texing their text support or sending it in for inspection but be careful since I doubt dji wants to pay for your repair that much they might argue that it's "user error" or something like that so I wouldn't get my hopes up but a gimble repair shouldn't cost that much if there's no damage to the boards judging by parts if only the gimbal Is broken with the camera core intact it should be a cheap repair like a hundred dollar ,2 hundred for a third party shop dji is probably going to replace the whole gimbal and it's gonna be super expensive a used gimbal with the camera core is like 200+ used so if they replace the whole thing it's gonna be like 400+ based on experiance
@@TellAfrica buttt a gimbal repair shoudnt be hard if you're good with your hands order a new gimbal assembly without the camera core and take a swing at it I've did it myself before but you need a special software to calibrate a new gimbal so try looking into the software first if it's possible
@@Coppersulfate9009 I am not sure a crash will impact the board. I have lodged a service application on the DJI website, next is to ship it, but unfortunately, no courier service ships drones out of Nigeria.
@@Coppersulfate9009 Interestingly, Zhiyun once held me by the hand to fix my gimbal whose tilt axis broke and it fascinated me how simple they made it. I did that without having to ship anything out of Nigeria. I am wondering why DJI doesn't give such support? And I am nervous if I give it a try if things might go bad.
DJI repair them very cheaply if you contact them

Well, I should have known better if I spotted that side of the instruction. Lesson learned. Thanks a million for your thoughts on this. Cheers

it looks like an easy fix
I hope so too. I have contacted DJI and will be shipping to them directly in Hong Kong, China. Thanks a lot for allaying my fears.
if you have dji care this is no problem but dji can repair but it's expensive
if you don't have warranty go to third party shop
The drone is barely two weeks old, I am guessing it should have an automatic warranty attached. Do you think that might be the case here

Please at least write down a script before you start recording.
Hope you’ll be able to fix the gimbal
Well, I was too frustrated to think of a script at the time. But now I know better. Thank you for giving your thoughts on this. I appreciate
