I love this drone I bought one last month and this drone very capable of shooting high res and good quality video. I had one video that went viral because of its amazing shot. I was just practicing flying at night and there was some local event in our city and took shot of it and the video was sooo clear and people from our city loved it and it reached 600k views in my FB.

Other than that I don’t even use the obstacle avoidance or the other camera functions much. Ohh the 4 pro is better at night imo but other than that there’s honestly not much difference. Bang for the buck is nice on the mini 3.. I do like the new RC2 remote tho. Wish it would bind to the mini 3
@@chainbenwa2713 Hello. Thank you for the insight on the two drones - that is awesome that you have both. I feel the same way about obstacle avoidance - not that useful for me. Thanks for the comment!
@hogangwapa Same... I just bought a Mini 3 and I shot some videos of the local church near my house. Then I used DaVinci Resolve to create a short movie and posted on our town FB page,it was my first work but it was a success.
For Others, this drone is for beginners but for me considering that it doesn't have any obstacle avoidance sensor it simply means that you're on your own flying with cautious with this drone. Been using this drone for less than a year and it gave me more confidence in flying. What impresses me more is that it has more battery capacity than M3 pro and M4 pro and it's ability to be stable in high speed winds.
@@rjedbloreciajr.723 I agree! This drone is great and just because there is no obstacle avoidance doesn’t mean it isn’t a good drone. And yes, the battery life is amazing. Thank you for the comment and good luck flying !
I think obstacle avoidance is overstated. People all the time get hung up on thin branches and wires and such. I prefer to plan the flight to stay away from all hazards. There’s nothing more frustrating than having a drone hung up on an obstacle. I have a Mini3 that I got a month ago and thid drone gets moved around a lot with the wind. I bought prop guards because I fly a lot over people, they’ve saved me killing props several times.
If you understand how a camera works, you can get some very high quality cinematic footage with this drone...the light will be your biggest challenge. Obstacle avoidance is a treat but not necessary unless you are just ripping around and using it as a toy.
I got a mini3 in April of 2024 (4+ months ago) and despite the fact that the controller stopped working after 2 weeks ( yes - DJI gave me a new one - no issues) I have been continually astonished at the quality of footage I get. It’s also rock solid stable in conditions I didn’t think were possible. I have videos where the leaves and vegetation are clearly moving in high winds yet it appears that the footage was done on some giant tripod. Continually impressed. A little light in bells and whistles in comparison to other models but it makes it an excellent trainer. Gotta give the Chinese credit for such fine products. A few months after that I got an Avata 2 - same results just the fun has been multiplied exponentially. I will be purchasing either a mini 4 or 5 depending on how the 5 turns out in September.
Thank you for providing your opinion! That's awesome to hear and I couldn't agree more about the mini 3. Continues to impress me every time I use it. I'm glad you're enjoying the Avata 2... I'm very interested in the Avata/Avata 2 and am looking at getting one soon. I've heard many great things about the Mini 4 pro and I bet the Mini 5 will be awesome. Good luck!
My Mini 3 was an upgrade from my Mini 2. I don’t need obstacle avoidance or 120 fps video. Mine came with the screen controller. The only issue I have is the histogram freezes. If I restart the controller sometimes the histogram works, other times it does not. Could this be due to a faulty controller or firmware issue?

@@javierrico1406 that’s awesome, I’m glad to hear that. And okay thanks for the video idea I will work on that in the future! Thank you for the support!
It is possible if you are near the ground or above an obstacle. The mini 3 has a downwards optical sensor that needs light to work, so it is possible that low light causes the sensor to struggle. However, I have never experienced this and haven't heard many cases of this. Good luck!

I bought mini 3 in January. Never used drone before. Love it so far. Took it to Greece, parks in Texas, Florida beaches, and planning to take it to Portugal next month. Imho listening to youtubers vids about registering drone in Europe is a waste of time.
Is the RCN1 controller compatible with the Mini 3? I have a Mini 2 that has a broken gimbal and if I can use the same controller, I would just buy the Mini 3 and some extra batteries. I have everything else I would need.
The Mini 3 is a great drone, i bought one last year after having the Mini 2, the mini 3 is definitely an upgrade over the mini with better flight characteristics, better camera, longer flight times especially with the plus battery and is quieter than the mini 2 in the air, only negative i found with the mini 3 is that it feels very fragile and toy like compared to the mini 2.
That's interesting, thank you for providing your honest opinion on the mini 3. I've never personally held/used the mini 2, but now I'm curious since you think it feels higher quality than the mini 3.
just look at the sensor, there is still no other entry level DJI Drone with its size so if you wanna take quality shots even if you're a beginner, Mini 3 is the way to go and this drone is here to stay. I think that price will drop even further as we see new drones on the market until out of stock (hope not).
I get about 30 minutes of flight time per battery so 1.5 hours of flight time for 3 batteries. Is that what you’re asking? If not, please restate your question. Best of luck!
