  • In the last few years, we've been to both Nordegg and David Thompson Country as well as Banff National Park more than any other place in the country. We've tried everything from rafting and mountain climbing to helicopter rides and art classes. In this video, we revisit once again, bringing our family and dogs along for the ride.

    👋We’re Matt & Karla, a Canadian couple with two totally different backgrounds.
    Matt is the “quintessentially Canadian”, born under the northern lights in Northern Alberta with family all over the country, whereas Karla is originally from Mexico City, bringing a totally fresh perspective to a country she has fallen in love with.
    Over the past 10 years, we have travelled to 42 countries spanning six continents, which has given us the expertise to plan amazing trips and find memorable experiences.
    In 2017, we decided to explore our own massive backyard with Road to 150, a 150-day #roadtrip across #Canada, witnessing the beauty and diversity of this country and sharing our experiences through video, pictures, social media, and articles. Since then, we’ve helped thousands of Canadians and travellers worldwide make the most of every Canadian experience.

    Nice rendition of Canadian life. So much to enjoy and be happy for.
    Family both present and future in a country that encourages it.
    The combination of enthusiasm and Canadian confidence a great example.
    Enjoyed. Keep it up. We all need these examples to help us appreciate what we actually have.
    Thank you.

    Nordegg is THE hot spot for sasquash in Canada
    I've been camping up in Nordegg twice in the past, it was actually in the woods surrounding town,we were on a fishing trip , and they were around
    They are frightening, yet friendly
    Big rascals
    ...I've had pther encounters in other parts of the country too

    The marketing thats done for Banff Lake Louise is massive Nordegg will never get that and to b honest it's not the same client base. Living in Banff Canmore since 91 I appreciate places like Nordegg so I can get away ;)

    • @MustDoCanada
      @MustDoCanada  ปีที่แล้ว

      Niiice. We’d like Canmore I think but ya gotta be a multimillionaire these days. Sucks to see whats happening here. But yes I agree, Banff will always win because its an hour from the biggest city

      @@MustDoCanada Left Montreal at age 21 in 91 for Banff, moved to Canmore in 95 when I got married. Bought our first condo in 98, then duplex in 2005 then 4 bedroom house in 2015. Just kept making the move up. Its not the same town but we are not in town much and leave into the deep of the forests ;)

      @@AydinProductionsLtd totally! If you got there early, it’s great. Just today is out of reach. We were about to buy a place in Calgary but it got too crazy so looking elsewhere now. But after going through two major crashes in 2008 and 2016, we’ll wait to see how bad it gets next year

      @@MustDoCanada prices will never go down in Canmore supply and demand. Same for many other places like Whistler, Fernie and now Revy has hit a high price mark too

    • @MustDoCanada
      @MustDoCanada  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AydinProductionsLtd fernie can still grow though. Same with Revi. But yes, those towns have become vacations towns. The unfortunate part is slowly they will lose services and identity as the lower wage workers have to leave and the people that made it cool are forced out for empty homes. The area is beautiful, however Nordegg was a huge disappointment. The buildings you see photos of online have been demolished, it looks like they are more interested in selling land for the subdivision that is building up the hillside. The mine site is locked up and you have to pay for a tour. Very very disappointing.

    • @MustDoCanada
      @MustDoCanada  ปีที่แล้ว

      There’s not much to the town itself but like most mines, it is inly accessible via a tour/entry.
