I actually only wash my hair once every 7-10 days, but i bathe about 2-3 times a week.
And i often have my hair in 40s styles, and when i do i wear a cap as well, and although i nvr put my head directly under the water, my hair still looks 90% the same.
When i wear my hair in older styles, such as 1800s or 1700s, or before, it normally doesnt change much either...
BUT if i have a more modern style and try it it normally has changed ALOT.
I believe its cause older styles are MEANT to last unless ur hair gets soaked.
PLUS all the dry shampoo used in between washes helps make it stay put, i dont use TONS of hairspray, just a bit, even on 40s styles, but the little bit used helps.
But sometimes i dont even use it.
Its about the way u care for it and style it.
But this IS a very possible thing.
ALTHOUGH we clearly saw her edges get wet, so that would still be wet.
      Although an easy fix.

I’m a hair stylist. Women are SLEEPING on vintage hair tricks. They’ve been lost to time. I want them back for all of our convenience. Throwing your hair into a pin curl set, or some rollers while it’s wet, is the BEST way to set curl into hair. It is most permanent. Especially with a good gel or moose, it’ll last longer than thermal curls. Also, the styles they create can be brushed into a number of the most fabulous hair styles the world has ever seen. And they’re SO EASY. Bring back convenience, bring back the wet set.

I'm young and I do this! I twist my damp hair a little and get the most beautiful beachy waves, leaves my hair smelling like it was just washed too, or makes my perfume last longer. I get complimented more on my "wild" look than with other things. (I know it depends on hair texture and your own possibilities, but I really recommend to style it a little damp because my hair is really thin, so it adapts quite easily).

I don't know but this is so inspiring, it doesn't sound old or obsolete at all, this routine looks very accurate. I'm going to get my inspiration from this kind of videos, people were just so much more glamorous at that time.

Oily hair does require more washing, but I agree with you as I have dry hair. Try to leave the natural oils alone and let them build up a bit. The shampoo companies used to say lather, rinse, and repeat (i.e., use more product!). That would only be necessary if your hair is truly quite dirty. Daily washing, except if you really need it, will ensure that your scalp will stay too dry. It's an individual thing. I easily go four days or more.

It’s actually really easy to use and super safe as well. They also pull the hair). I never pay too much attention when I shave but never have a single nick.

Everyone did their hair like that. I am 71. We had Home Ecconomic classes that taught many of these things. I got a big laugh out of some of these comments. This video brought back many memories. I had to seek out other brands that aren't too expensive or too cheap, but then I found a fantastic Etsy shop that makes vegan/natural soaps, shampoos, and body lotion. Odorless but easy in my skin. I purchased some for myself and some for my aunt. But after her passing I've continued to remember everything about self-care, even home-made clothpads. ☺

Well into her 60’s people asked about her skin routine. She had gorgeous skin, buttery soft. In her 80’s at the end of her life , nurses would tell her how pretty she was! She had big brown eyes, full/medium lips,& dimples when she smiled.😊
