Polo 6R - Removing, replacing interior rear-view mirror

- A quick video showing how to remove the stock interior rear-view mirror. You’ll need to remove the stock mirror if you intend to upgrade to an auto-dimming rear-view mirror (OEM/aftermarket) or if you are changing the windshield.
I’ll make a separate clip on how to install the OEM auto-dimming rear view mirror from the Passat/Jetta. :)

Where can we purchase this auto dimming mirror? Can u pls share the link
Hi Sam, I purchased the OEM auto-dimming mirror used in the Jetta/Passat from Aliexpress back then. You may be able to source one from eBay or a scrap car. Even Honda is retailing the OEM auto-dimming mirror in Boodmo for as low as 400 Rs! But the mount is different. If there’s a way to transfer the mount from the Polo’s stock mirror to this one, it would be incredible value for money! Worth a try.

Hi Ganesh, quick clarification - I was able to procure the mirror from a source but the wiring harness is missing? Any suggestions on this
@@samvasanthan The terminal used in the 6 pin connector is very common and is used in several other connectors in VW and Skoda. Can you try sourcing it from some accident salvage vehicle? That will be the cheapest.
@@GaneshBalan I tried that route, but those people are saying the writing is connected to multiple other lines and cannot be removed 😔
