  • Here I'm showing is my only bagged Swivel Glide that was requested to be seen. I got this vacuum two years ago from my local thrift store for $10, I remember I bought this shortly after getting my blue Swivel Glide Vision MVP. It worked when I got it but it was missing two attachments, just needed a new belt as the old was very old and it snapped in two areas. I just simply cleaned it up, washed the filters, put a new bag and belt on, and glued some pieces that I broke off during the reassembling. Either the plastic was too old, the temperatures brittled the plastic, or it just was made cheaply as this is a light machine. Other than that, it works great! I did had to do a second take on this machine cause the first time it was making a loud squealing noise when I first turned it on until it later went away so that was strange. But either take, the bag full indicator wasn't working well like it should. I guess that's probably how it was with these machines. Overall, I'm just very happy that I own one of these. This was a childhood vacuum, my mom's friend had one when I used to go over to her house. I've only seen it once but sadly I never got to use it. Of course it later got replaced by a Panasonic which I thought was an upgrade for them. I'm not saying this is a bad machine, to be honest I do like it. Definitely better than the Visions. It's just that these could've been made better in my opinion. As I said before, it's cheaply made. In fact these were known for breaking handle releases and it's actually broken on mine. It's rather noisy. And these don't filter well like they claim they do. At the same time, I do like with how simple these are to service and how well they actually clean. I'd honestly take one over a Bissell Powerforce bagged including mine that I have cause it feels better on my hand, the switch doesn't get as hot, and I appreciate that these are assembled in the USA. Not fully American made because the Ametek Lamb motor on this is definitely made in Mexico. Anyways, that's pretty much about it with this. I'd love to find several more Swivel Glides but with how poorly built these are, I just think they'd be really hard to find in my area and I'm definitely not paying over on auction side like eBay cause I don't see much of a value for these. They aren't really my favorite Dirt Devils to be quite honest here but at least I think it's neat that some of these have a orange overheating light that alot of vacuums don't have.
    Hope you enjoyed!

Its getting harder to find them in as good of shape as this one is without any missing and broken parts or just straight up beaten. I almost gotten a more nicer 97 one in red but was not about to pay 40 dollars for one

I used to have neighbors across the street who owned this very vacuum, but it had a different logo that was not in all-caps. This was their daily driver for years, until they replaced it with a Kirby Sentria. So seeing this Dirt Devil was quite a nostalgia trip for me.
