    I've been playing golf for many years, and I can honestly tell you that this lesson is not just for beginners; in fact right from the start the grip is something that many of us experienced golfers take for granted and I have steadily over the years developed a bit of a weak grip...even just holding the club, which this lesson caused me to have to take a second look at my fingers and 'life line' etc...The whole lesson is nothing short of awesome...Thank You!

      Thanks for the kind words, Wreckim. We get to see the best in the world constantly keep on top of their fundamentals... that's definitely something the rest of us "normal" golfers could use more of too.

    For years I have had a “slice” problem. Watched this video and put it to the test and...”slice no more”. I appreciate y’all and the videos. I will be watching a lot more in the upcoming days!!!!!! Thanks again!!!

    How many golfers are there in the world? Likely more than 4k, every golfer needs to see this! I have been working hard at my swing for years, Noone has ever told me why I can't see 2 knuckles, I assumed it was my anatomy, not that my arms needed an alignment stick to point towards the target. That and the idea of a tee ball swing first. Guys are straight genius. I am so thankful for your videos.

      That's awesome, so glad that the 2 knuckles deal makes more sense now!

    This is an excellent review for everyone not just an introduction for novice golfers. Thoroughly enjoyed the presentation and will use for reference when “the wheels” start to come off.

    You’ve really improved the production quality. Very nicely done. That’s one badly beaten ball in the logo clip! Thanks again for instructions that are easy for newbies to digest and the highly techie ones that feed us data nerds. Have a great year!

      Thanks for watching, Brent. We have a very talented editor who does our post-production.

      John Craig absolutely. One of the main differences between ams and pros is the pre shot routine. They are consistent because their grip, ball position, aim and posture are consistent.

      So true, Alvaro, and they work on those "basics" constantly.

      We actually probably see the best players work on these things more than the lesser skilled golfers. Not much of an excuse not to

    this is brilliant - the stuff you guys do with advanced computer imaging is wicked but this is in a sense even more valuable because it applies to everyone - including guys who only aspire to be the 'amateur' in the 'pro' vs 'amateur' computer imaging videos. Grip, stance and posture I can't get enough of these videos from you guys so please do more... thanks.

    Exceptional video- hope you consider "beginners" videos for transition and downswing. Quick question- using the T-ball model the left arm is doing the swinging and the right arm just hangs and bends. Is this true in the actual golf swing? If so, how does the 90 degree separation between the right upper arm and the torso happen- is there lifting of the right upper arm later in the swing to create separation?

    • @AthleticMotionGolf
      @AthleticMotionGolf  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Leonard, and yes, we have those videos coming.
      Yes, the right upper arm is lifting off the torso some to finish backswing.

    Well presented video. I reckon the hands, arms, and shoulders swing in a circle like a baseball swing while the spine needs to side-bend and flex/extend to keep the club on the money line?

  • @FitFast8
    @FitFast8 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If you use your feet for alignment, make sure you use the back of heel line and not the the toe line (otherwise either the alignment will be incorrect or the alignment reference will change when you flare open your feet, even though actual alignment hasn't changed)

    I’ve often had a problem putting a twist in on backswing leading to overswing and across line at top, can you do a video on stopping this? The t ball drill will probably help with this, but once you have a fault it’s bloody hard to get rid of.

    • @AthleticMotionGolf
      @AthleticMotionGolf  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can you explain more about what you mean by "putting a twist in on the backswing"?

    • @ianbainbridge5095
      @ianbainbridge5095 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The twist is in wrists, left one cupping with right wrist straight in backswing causing club to be across line at top. I’ve always been handsy in the swing despite many attempts to fix it

    • @AthleticMotionGolf
      @AthleticMotionGolf  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ianbainbridge5095 It's very helpful to identify when that break down is occurring. Then make the deliberate countering moves to correct it. That is usually best done by swinging very slowing in the backswing. Trying to make those changes at normal speed is very difficult on your own.
