Thank you for the update in regards to the correlation between the voice actors strike/storyline update & cutscenes being delayed. That's an important piece of information to know that helps me (and other players) understand why voice acted cutscenes haven't been used in recent patches
Me already looking forward to driving around with Andronikos lounging next to me and our favourite fur baby at the back with us! It was always kind of silly that when you use speeder companions just disappeared. This provides some immersion to the game and is headcanon worthy.
I'm a massive fan of the comlink system. It looks so, so, so cool. This is probably not in the cards at the moment, but I hope it does mean that eventually we get some more companion content. The companion mails are so cool and we just barely get those anymore. The comlink system could be used as like, a "chat" for companions to keep them involved in the story without flooding us with mail but being easy to develop. A game called Honkai Star Rail has a very similar system and in that game, every day you can get a text from a randomly chosen companion with a small dialogue tree just to add some neat characterisation. Something like that would be neat for SWTOR imo.
My opinion: good overall update (minus the story part). Imo, after they finish polishing the planets, they should focus on polishing all the armor available in the game and make it 3D + making the dyes go well with them. Also they should focus on story and pvp. If they do these things good next year, the game will be in a good state imo. Upgrading planets, character model and armors will give the game a fresh start (prolly will feel like a brand new SW game).
@@goitidanielaser2167 you could add to existing story content (namely by adding choices/branching paths). Something that improves the base game, makes it more appealing for new players, while not having to allocate huge amounts of resources on a chunk of brand new story.
The best thing they can do for dye packs is to have them be removable after slotting it (so you can reuse it) and being able to use the collections to get more of the cartel market dyes that are automatically bound to the legacy when retrieved.
Replayable class-story and planet quests at different difficulties, similar to KoTFE, would go a long way towards keeping me playing my favorite character. Rather than having to make endless alts to keep playing anything other than FPs, OPs, daily-Heroics.
What I really want to see is the feature that allows for cloning of Decorations for Guild Strongholds/Flagships be made available for Personal Strongholds. It's such a pain when you need a specific item for a build, but it's something that isn't on the Cartel Market, isn't from a vendor, and only pops up every once in a while on the GTN for 1bil credits. I think making that feature available for Personal SHs would be a reasonable credit sink, and I don't think it'd hurt CM revenue much since you still need to purchase the CM decos in the first place to unlock them.
love the comlink interface. a style that feels more "in universe" instead of just "game ui" is a grand step towards better immersion for me. it just feels a bit weird that there's no word about using it for older content or incorporating it into scenes that canonically use comlinks, but maybe (hopefully?) that can be added some time in the future.
For me the comlink seems like a cheap replacement of voice actors. Yeah it looks cool but you have to see the bigger picture. In the beginning of swtor everyone was voiced, then only the npc and not our character, now it seems like they’re introducing all-text communication

I hope the dye system will be reworked to add the ability for us to mix-match our own dye modules. A guy on the swtor forum worked out that based on 11 colors, 5 shades variants each, there are 3135 possible dye combos to be had. Only a faction on that have been added to the game and at the rate new dye modules are released we'll be waiting forever to get a particular combo we want. What I want to see is single primary and single secondary dyes be added to the Cartel Market. We can them buy those and create our own dye module by combining them. There'll need to add a new dye station for this, maybe repurpose the appearance modifier station for it since it's currently defunct since we can change appearance directly in the character window. This would mean that there would be no need to add a second dye slot to the armor piece windows and the current dye modules are still usable. They can continue to sell the two color combo dye modules along side the new single color dyes added to the Cartel Market. Going forward the premade two color combo dye modules would be of colors with shades and textures not yet available as single dyes. Price it correctly and they won't lose out on revenue. Like currently Black/Black dye cost 1500cc so just price the single primary/secondary black dye at 750cc. That way if a player wants to create black/black dye module we'd just buy two black dyes to combine. If that makes sense. Like I've wanted a Deep Red/Deep Red dye module (which currently isn't in game). So I would by two of these single slot Deep Red dyes, take it to the Dye Module Creator Station, drop them in and create a Deep Red/Deep Red dye module. Then stamp it to an armor piece as usual.
I wonder if the companion mounts will allow the companions to communicate while riding. That’s something I miss from back in the day when I was running across planets.
That Comlink UI gives me such massive KOTOR II vibes, it's unreal... I almost want to get that Plumed PVP set, dye it yellow, and put it on a Cathar named Sylvester. I'd put money on the devs separating the Primary and Secondary dye slots on armor...and didn't they mention adding dye slots to weapons at one point? ...I wonder if they'll update old two-seater mounts and taxis to allow Companions...

Dyes should really just be part of collections. Consumable dyes just feels bad, IMO. I know it would be less of a money-maker for them if you could just buy a dye once and be done, but I would rather have dyes be collection unlocks even if it meant a higher initial purchase price.

Ive had the game since launch and have been on and off for the last 10years. Im going to try and get the legendary status ive got two stories remaining. I'm somone who likes focusing on one character. I have only done two or three OPS and only on story mode. Plus never geared full ti the max gear score or never collected all the datacrons. So im going to focus on all these things going forward. Im not happy about the slow progress and the absolute focus on the cartel market going on in SWTOR but its got to make money. Saying this Ive come back and resubscribed as its the only way to fully enjoy the game and I love Star Wars. I really look forward to the dynamic encounters too. 😊 Plus its nice to switch between this and New World at the moment. Both enjoyable and cozy mmos to play 😊

The only thing I need to get back in the game are new animations. New graphics are nice, but the underlying movement animations are too stiff and archaic.

Oh man, didn't know the video game strike was still ongoing. Its been like half a year now? Broadsword doing an admirable job keeping the game chugging along.
As a creative writer, I'm with the voice actors on this one. I'm not against AI, but I *AM* against data laundering and non-consensual theft of people's works and likenesses for AI training.
I've been with this game from the very beginning and if it's Broadsword and Musco together this game will be the same as Acolyte and the movies with Rey in the main role, she's a good actress but not Star Wars and this character without a proper story and script writing is pathetic. And a caricature itself.
A few things that would make this game much much better would be combat system. I'm a pve heavily player so I don't really care for pvp so anyway. Graphic lighting update is okay. New graphic system would be amazing but lighting is a step towards it I guess. New weapons is cool but at the same time, weapons are hardly being seen at the moment so this is nothing exciting about. Free mounts and all that is cool and new companion is alright but they're just as useless as self heal. I think humanoid companion should be able to carry quest item like lifting chest or heavy stuffs while we protect them is a much better idea. Like for example in skyrim you can command a companion to go there, loot that, pick this kill this for you. I think that's more immersive than just help you heal, attack when you attack it kind of way. I have tons more ideas but these are just a scratch. This game badly needs graphical update and its combat system is super outdated. Also New class would be amazing

There's enough story. They should continue to polish and improve the existing game.

I've been with this game from the very beginning and if it's Broadsword and Musco together this game will be the same as Acolyte and the movies with Rey in the main role, she's a good actress but not Star Wars and this character without a proper story and script writing is pathetic. And a caricature itself.
Can't wait to stick on that plumed armor and go hunt She who Greedily Devours again. Caw-caw! 🐔

1:21 Sounds to me like there was someone who does not like video games.
A few things that would make this game much much better would be combat system. I'm a pve heavily player so I don't really care for pvp so anyway. Graphic lighting update is okay. New graphic system would be amazing but lighting is a step towards it I guess.
New weapons is cool but at the same time, weapons are hardly being seen at the moment so this is nothing exciting about. Free mounts and all that is cool and new companion is alright but they're just as useless as self heal. I think humanoid companion should be able to carry quest item like lifting chest or heavy stuffs while we protect them is a much better idea. Like for example in skyrim you can command a companion to go there, loot that, pick this kill this for you. I think that's more immersive than just help you heal, attack when you attack it kind of way.
I have tons more ideas but these are just a scratch. This game badly needs graphical update and its combat system is super outdated. Also New class would be amazing
