Year 10 Academics - Unknown since the standardized levels or GPA don’t come out in my country, but 2 years above my current grade level Extra curricular - 2; a lot of involvement, started/running a club, in my regional orchestra, play violin & piano, am involved in music, STEM clubs, have been to and placed in national competitions (3rd and 1st place so far), co class representative Athletics - 4 Personal - 3 or possibly 3+
2 I have 4.7 GPA and projected 1500 SAT I am VP of a small club so 3+ Athletics: 4 no question Idk if Im a 2 or 3+ alot of people say that I am one of the few genuine people in school, but I odn show maturity beyond my age. I will probably get ranked as 3+
Im in 9th grade heres my points: 1 in academics 3.8/4 GPA, 1480/1500 PSAT, Brown Precollege (im 14 and got into program for 16y/os) 2-3? in atheletics I do varsity fencing at my school 2 personal rating founder and pres of math club at my school also led my team to district level robotics and 3d printing comp. and got 3rd place going to do internship at a company for coding in may 2 for overall, great rec letters so do you guys think i can make it? P.S im indian and international student
Overall rating (if I applied to Harvard now I am in 9th grade) 1 Academics- Unknown, but GPA is around 3.6. So maybe point 3.Also have done multiple international debate competitions if those count. 2 Athletics-Play golf somewhat competitively, so point 3 as well.I also do debate as a highly competitive sport so if that counts maybe can bump up to a 2. 3 Extracurriculars- In 5 clubs, have 2 management roles in those clubs, play chess somewhat competitively, debate(in Malaysian junior team), gone for public speaking and storytelling competitions before. Maybe a 2. 4 Personality-3, maybe ok personality, however still trying to become a better leader. Based on these, what do you think I need to improve on for now? And also, does debate count as a sport which I can get me points for the athletic ability or not really?
@@aiden.p6622 Hi! Just a question - for your community service hours, how did you get them? A lot of the opportunities I seem to look into are age locked and not available for people under 16, and would appreciate some tips :)
To be completely honest majority of the hours spent were not doing crazy stuff (which I am assuming you were talking about considering there is an age limit) but more so like the simple stuff. One of the stuff I did was help the Malaysian Association for the blind by reading and recording certain books. However, if that doesn’t work out then my advice is go out and do your own thing. For an instance, while the pandemic was happening, I created 5000 mask and donated it to a local hospital. Where I am getting to is the focus on the simple stuff such as reading to the blind or helping your park by planting trees, raising awareness or you could even go your own path Ik this video makes colleges want you to solve cancer, but realistically they just want to see effort being put to help out the community Hope this helps :)
looking at this, as someone who was admitted into Stanford, MIT, and some ivies (did not apply to harvard) I would have gotten a 2 in academics (altho unsure because I had 800 math, but 740 reading), a 2 personal based on what my recommenders wrote, maybe a 2+, and a 2 or potentially a 3+ in extracirricullars, with 4 in sports. This probably puts me at a 2 overall for harvard
This was a really helpful video into Harvard admits. Guess I have to become an Olympic-level athlete now lol! Also what was that u r loved thing on your screen?

Can you do the most useful textbooks for every AP class?
Is this a re-upload from you and Omar’s channel?
Excellent
Is cheerleading considered in the athletics category?
no

Would 800 math/710 English put me at a 2 or 3?
A good gpa can make up for a bad sat, a good sat can't make up for a bad gpa. But if you have 4.0 GPA 1510 SAt I would say your a 2
