I've just been told Tipperary is a county - not a town. But the internet says it is also a town. SOMEONE FROM IRELAND PLEASE HELP

Tipperary is a county, but it is also the name of the main town in the county.
Same for every county, dublin is a county but also has Dublin city.

I absolutely love the Irish Maid. I bartend at a Moose Lodge and had this cocktail as our drink special last night and it was a hit. We don’t have Powers gold label Irish whiskey so try making the drink with Jameson and with Bushmills. The Cocktail taste great with either whiskey. another bartender and I preferred the Bushmills slightly over Jameson.

Love the channel. Enjoyed the Irish Maid and wanted to share a variant we call “The Juliet”. Sub in London dry gin ( the Botanist) for the Irish whisky, sub in italicus for the St Germaine, and dropping the simple. Fabulous!
So, muddle 2 slices of cucumber, 2 oz of London Dry Gin, 1 oz of italicus, 3/4oz of Lemon juice. Shake and double strain into a glass with ice and cucumber ribbon. Would be interested to know what you think!

@@AndersErickson thank you for your quick rreply. Yeah a simple thing is always good, but since nowadays, people tend to stay longer in a bar and sometimes the whole evening. better keep them entertained and food is a great tool. but food is a big subject, uless you make a real menu, better find little things that are more then crips, lighter than a meal. like Tapas maybe.
