Trains at Guildford, PDL - 26/10/19

Welcome to the latest episode of Big Trip! Today I am at Guildford on the Portsmouth Direct Line where services are seen by South Western Railway and Great Western Railway.
Guildford was a brilliant station to visit despite all the engineering works taking place during this time. The station has very good views going out towards the Woking and Ash directions and a good variety of traction throughout the course of the visit. The station normally sees quite a lot here but due to engineering works, less did appear here which opens up the opportunity of re-visiting here during good service but due to SWR's planned strike action, this won't be until next year. I do like it here though, it's always a fun station to spot at with something different appearing every time. Highly recommended station!

What about Winnersh, Crowthorne, Sandhurst, Farnborough North, Ash, Wanborough, Shalford, Gomshall, Chilworth, Dorking West, and Betchworth stations for the Question of the video

Do you notice that in the class 455s there is a 508 coach as the 2nd or 3rd coach? It’s strange you can tell by the windows

Indeed, also one of the carriages looks a little bit more lobsided than the other, that's also how you can tell.

Its because they were originally 3 car but they added the 507/8 coaches to help with capacity on the London commuter routes
