Brilliant video Kieran. To answer the question of the video, Pilning is one of those on the list for passengers going to Wales, as the two services that stop there each Saturday head in the direction of Bristol and Taunton and not towards Wales. Passengers getting the morning service and returning in the afternoon will need to return via Wales, passing through Pilning on the way back
Great video Kieran I love this part of the East Coast Mainline, my favourite line 😊 The Northern section from York to Edinburgh has some amazing scenery and of course I love the 225 sets and Hsts. I've always thought that red and white livery looks beautiful on them 😊
Chester-le-Street doesn't have the best service, as I found. I went on a journey to Beamish Museum, which entailed boarding at Northallerton where I was staying, to Chester-Le-Street where I took a bus to Beamish Museum. That evening back at Chester-Le-Street, something like four trains passed without stopping. I decided to board the next train that stopped, which was a TransPennine Express, which I knew wasn't stopping at Northallerton. Worst case scenario was to go to York, and find out how to get back. I asked the guard for help. As it happened, she told me to get off at Darlington and stay on that platform, as there was an LNER service immediately following that was to stop at Northallerton. She also advised that the next day for me to take the train to Durham, and get a bus from there to go to Beamish Museum.
Yeah it's probably one of the most awkward stations in the North East for sure! That's an interesting story, I'd always alight at Durham seeing as it's practically on the doorstep of Chester-le-Street and has a far better service.
Great video Kieran!! The answer is Lelant Saltings. Got some great passes there. Good to see a Nova 1 as well.

Btw try do Carlisle next if you can don’t if you don’t wanna. Cause it’s my city
They've not been fully put in the new livery yet, that's why. Also I've very recently been to Carlisle, the video is on my channel.
Oh ok thanks!
