When I was a kid, I learned that if you went into the final boss room as Mini Mario, the music would continue instead of stopping, and if you did the opposite, it would be quiet through the rest of the castle. I loved this game so much.
In addition to gaining coins by hitting Luigi as tiny Mario, he also loses HP. When he reaches 1 (he never reaches 0) he'll start screaming in pain and no more coins will appear. Coins will only be produced again when he regains his HP with a mushroom. I think this is an intentional design.

the first and only glitch i encountered in this game must have been insanely rare, as i have seen no footage online or in any compilation show it. so onto the glitch. the Bike Pads in Bowser's Castle is where i stumbled across this glitch, completely on accident. for some reason, while trying to do the parkour, one of my brothers fell off into the lava. The lava did no damage, and just got sunk into the fiery depths. mario fell off the pad as well as i was trying to escape the lava, but it just got me even more stuck, and i had to reset the game! it was honestly hilarious. i just wish i could find a video of this happening.

I found the Little Fungitown fly-away glitch the best. There's something so satisfying about watching one of the Mario Bros fly across and off the screen like that.
@jmario232 Yes. 1 hit converts 1 of Luigi's HP into 1 coin, in the Japanese version it takes 2 HP per coin. You don't get any more coins when Luigi got only 1 HP left.
In the beach area east of the Beanbean Castle, the Bob-omb will race around when the bros are near them. If the bros are standing on top of a raised portion of land where the Bob-omb cannot attack them, but the Bob-omb is triggered into the "excited/racing" mode, then even if the Bob-omb is hidden behind the raised portion, when it starts racing around, the sprite will appear in the direct foreground, in front of the pillar of land. This effect ends when the Bob-omb returns to its normal, walking mode.
Also works on Beanbean Castle Destroyed. When Mario is little, the song where the location you have been, will be in the location that has another song, but it was not switched at all.

Also, that one in the shop in Little Fungitown can be done with Mario stuck right beside the object in the corner, and Luigi in front doing a walking motion.
@GH3master21 I was using VisualBoyAdvance v19 (works with v21/v22 too), a GBA emulator. Download and install ffdshow, because you need a proper codec (if you don't have already). In VBA: Tools -> Start AVI recording. Select ffdshow and configure it: MPEG4-Codec, quality 100%. Or: h.264 (not the lossless one for TH-cam uploads), quantizer: 1. h.264 has better quality but I'm experiencing problems with it sometimes.
@GH3master21 Also, when you get the emulator, you will need the proper ROM which is called something like "Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga (u) [!].gba". It is probably illegal to download the ROM if you don't own a copy of the game.
