Our standard poodle has no issue wearing her harness. We started her on one at 11 weeks. She also wears a vest while outdoors during deer season. And she hunts grouse with me. They are bred to be retrievers, after all.
Too funny....I recall taking my Standard Beau to the range the first time....I was wondering how he would react. Well...driving down one of the roadways to the pistol range, several shotguns began firing on the skeet range....well, Beau basically got so excited he went across the Jeep onto my lap and had his head out the window....it was like he was saying "shotgun music daddy!".....I have three, and none of them flinch or react negatively to loud noises.....and they love trips to the range.
I’m a groomer and I groom lots of poodles. My poodles love to be groomed and we have a good time with the process. The secret is to start early. Ten weeks old is good. Also, I’ve owned poodles for the last 35 years. A well groomed dog is a wonderful thing and the dogs know this simple truth. 😊
Agreed! My boy loves going to the groomers & they love him! Just a few weeks ago at his latest groom, when I pick him up I always ask how did he go? They said - oh he’s such a good boy, he fell asleep while I was grooming him today. And he loves saying hi to all the other dogs there for their grooming. - I started him early and I often brush him myself, so it’s relaxing and great bonding time. He’s the best in my life, and I am so thankful for him in my life. ❤❤❤
Almost all of this (except the grooming/ear cleaning horror) applies to all dogs. I love poodles and have had several of different sizes and colours. Yes, they are very sensitive and intelligent, but so are other breeds.

Some dogs thrive in the heat like my Chihuahua. He hates the cold
