You're honestly not wrong, I was hoping the snow would make it far more "bleachy" and brighter than it actually is. Instead, it's like whites are pretty white, but the darks are still very dark. I'll give the sandstorm textures a try at some point in this series too and see if that brightens things up.
To be fair, we don't have the ш in our alphabet, and calling it the Guh Shuh feels clunky phonetically in English. You must die a little inside when people call the ППШ the пи пи эс эйч ))
My boyfriend just got me a VR headset and this game for Christmas! I’m excited to play through it and eventually mod mine as well. Looks sick with the snow.
Money does still have some value in scav mod though, so its still worth it to pick up some items to sell imo. The repair machine still works if u want to repair red items and armor or get bored with cleaning magazines and guns, but its alot more expensive. Also upgrades cost more. Like adding an extra rail B could be 10k :p Although its entirely possible to not use the machine, if thats your plan, since guns already come with some upgrades, and i assume with bountifull setting u will find enough of fresh armor to replace instead of repair.
I've come to agree with you, I didn't realize at first that I'd need the repair station for suppressors, armor, and helmets. Now that I understand that, I've been collecting some artifacts that get some good cash.
Oh I modded the living crap outta my current save. My current run's world modifiers are Scavenger (shopless) and The Mist, with a bunch of other ones scattered in between (Echo 1 detector, reworked enemy and gun sounds, metro bullet lighter, +). Ironman here as well! Previously I did a Scavenger run with the original version of the winter mod, too. It's entirely likely that I've played this game too darn much at this point. I might get rid of the new enemy sounds, though. The original ones are just so darn good... Also the google doc is set for requesting access. 👍
@@anomalousinsect The mods are definitely fun, this might be the one and only time I do it because I’m really hoping to try out 1.0 after this. Thanks for catching the Google Docs issue, I’ll try to fix that some time today.
That winter mod keeps making me think the tide is coming in, due to how everything looks black and white.

@@hellboyhunter959 You’re an absolute goober lmao. Hope the kiddos are enjoying that Rift S and Gorilla Tag now though!
8:22 I love grenades. So much that I in fact, never use them. But I always pick them up and have them in a nice little pile or drawer
@@iambrando8342 I have a nice collection of them at this point as well, but that doesn’t solve the problem that my throwing skills are horrible!
Been wanting to get back into the radius, your modlist just pushed me into YES. Excellent video man!
@@DevourVR Hey thanks a lot, and I’m glad the mods looked appealing enough to get back into the game! These mod authors have done an incredible job!

Ymca gym rat ginger enjoyed this very much 🎉

Can you download the winter Retexture without all the gun and item camos?
@@Kamp774 Yes you can. The only camo you’re seeing is on the Makarov, which is part of the Into the Radius supporter pack, not a mod.
