Glad I could help bring you up to speed! Make sure to check out the other one for more information. Probably will have another video out in July with more updates.
@@xPASTY really thrilled about the general shift away from quantity and towards quality, although I loved using every single gun in the first game (god bless scavenger mod)
@@Mischa1917 I haven't used all that many as you can tell since you've seen everything I've played, but I agree that I'd much prefer quality over quantity. There's no point in having 50 guns in a game with subpar controls. I like the direction they're going.
I completely agree, my dude. I always thought there needs to be way more story-driven games for VR. A lot of the time it's just used as a sandbox allowing people to dick around, but a well-crafted story with in-depth characteristics in VR works so well. I hope other developers take notes from ITR.
@@xPASTY I made the stealth tweak mod for the first game (lost the files since, sadly) that reduced AI FOV and stuff like that, but its a far cry from a "fix" and more just a very... simple bandaid. Hell yeah, glad you’re an explorer now! I’ve got another video going up tomorrow about diary 11 and a few other things that everyone needs up to speed with. 😏
Right?! That’s going to be an amazing new feature. I wonder if they’ll make them silent or have a faint noise when they’re still, because in the first game you can hear them from far away even when not in motion.
@@xPASTY Well, for gameplay purposes, faint noise seems to be fair. But on the other hand, should a game be fair? Why not making player paranoid of every single small bush? This is kinda the thing which would make me rethink wandering around in the night... to some extent. You can aim at mimic's muzzle flash in ITR, and spawns are quite loud now.
@@exquisitecanineaficionado I’d appreciate a faint noise from Spawns when still, kind of like how they describe Ash being detectable by a faint noise. ITR2 will take even more years off my life if I’m getting jumped by Spawns in bushes every 15 minutes.
really really disappointed that there’s no human NPCs, huge missed opportunity - seems like a overly safe sequel but i’ll reserve full judgement until i play it tomorrow
@@cooki3th1ef Well there’s never been any human NPCs in the Into the Radius game, unfortunately that’s just not the style this game is. It would be cool though, it could make it more dynamic like STALKER is.

Power consumption? What do you mean by that? And make sure you go read the dev diary they did about the guns, we’re getting a much better attachment system in ITR2 which I’m really excited about!
I mean that flashlights and such need power the can recharge over time or with some other way, like a generator. And that it’s a toggleable setting for games.
@@LimesAtTimes Oh yeah man, big overhaul this time around! The battery system would be pretty neat as long as I’m not swapping them after every trip into the zone.
I hope for them to add support for crawling/shooting flat to the ground like contractors, I always crawl with my rifle in my "elbows" in part 1 to dodge gunfire, but my chest stays as if I'm standing up
I haven’t seen any on the Steam page, but these were in Discord and they should be a good reference. Minimum: Intel i5-7600k/Ryzen 5-3600, NVidia RTX 2060, 16 GB RAM. Recommended: Intel i5-8600k/Ryzen 5-5600, NVidia RTX 3070, 16 GB RAM.
Currently I don’t know if it will or not. I don’t believe I saw that answered anywhere, but it gets asked a decent amount. Into the Radius 1 was on Meta store and Steam but not PSVR2, but since this sequel seems to already be more anticipated and popular than the first game, I feel like there’s a chance. I’m sure they’ll answer that as we get closer to early access.
Wish I could tell you but I have no idea. I know they’re being designed from scratch and built up, so maybe it is more difficult than the way other games do it and it’s not as high of a priority to have an insane amount of guns.
I had to go back to see what you were referring to, but I got you now. It is an odd design, but at the same time, Mimics aren’t really intended to be “normal looking.” It does look like the same holster copy/pasted right over top the other which makes no sense in reality, but in the Radius it may be chalked up as an anomaly like the rest of the world.
I always assume that most enemies in the radius are the radiuses' best attempt at copying things around it mimics being soldiers the train being just part of the train those burning things being electric wire anomaly fields being mine fields etc
@@bluejay9681 That’s the impression I get too. It’s the Radius’s artificial world. I’m still working on finishing the first game so maybe I’ll know more later.

It seems to me like it’s completely dependent on who starts the server. I’d expect that if the host leaves, everyone gets kicked out.
