    When you were struggling with the peeler, I actually thought you were setting up a sponsorship bit where you sell us a new peeler. But nope, you were just struggling. I respect that.

      No sponsorship, just a bad peeler :)

    Interesting video about State Fair Lemonade. Usually at the Fair's around me they make their Lemonade by having Sugar water and add fresh lemons and shake it in order to make the Lemonade. Never heard of this way to make it, so will have to give it a try. Always enjoy how encouraging and thoughtful you are to your viewers.

      That sounds interesting, so does just adding sliced lemons give it enough lemon flavor?

      @@barbra429 They usually use a 1/2 of lemon. They pure the sugar water in a large cup and squeeze some of the lemon juice and then put another cup on top of the other and shake with the lemon inside. It does taste nice and refreshing.

    Great recipe. I love when all parts of the citrus fruit are used, not just the juice. That peel has TONS of flavour thanks to its natural essential oils and gives a special aroma kick to the drink. Other than that it is also full of vitamins. And yes, as you mentioned, the white part should come off as much as possible as it gives bitterness that is too penetrating and not enjoyable.
    I have a mojito lemonade recipe on my channel that uses those same principles to get a power flavour out of those limes. Great work! Let's refresh the world one lemonade at a time 😀

    I really good rendition of this is adding 2 limes and using their zest and like 4 thin slices of ginger to the sugar with the lemon zest.

    I'm always amazed at how fragrant lemon rind is -- should never throw it away! Even dried and sitting in the freezer ages later still super fragrant. Anyway, time to go check my rinds-in-sugar and squeeze those lemons! Can't wait ;))

    • @ICookAndPaint
      @ICookAndPaint  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s better to add the juice fresh later without heating it at all to keep its bright flavour :)
