Love the review, I saw it in the theater and bought it on iTunes as soon as I got home. I agree the previews missed the mark on the story. I’m wondering, as I’ve watched many reviews now, does no one realize the origin story is the tv show the Fall Guy from the 80’s? Not one review has mentioned that. There were several ties backs to the show and even to the Six Million Dollar Man which also starred Lee Majors. There were several sound effects for example during the bridge/truck scene and when the phone was shot through the staircase and he pushed Dan aside.
You’re completely right! I think most people fail to mention it because it isn’t really a big IP most people would be familiar with, but I’m glad they put call backs in the movie for those that do remember the show.

I still appreciate how it brings in the two leads and truck from the original show and cover the theme. It’s a fitting tribute.
