Ryan "Baby Goose" Gosling. LOVE IT NICK! Also I have to tell you guys I saw "Challengers" last week. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise and a really excellent movie that I didn't expect to like.
Damn, I was disappointed that neither of you enjoyed The Fall Guy movie anywhere near as much as I did. As a woman, it was the chemistry between Gosling and Blunt that actually lured me out to see their film at the cinema - and it did not disappoint. I loved it enough to go back a second time, and not least because it reminded me of the corny Harrison Ford blockbuster action-romcoms of my youth. I will also buy the extended version when it eventually becomes available here in Australia.
You guys seem so cool and make so much sense, which is pleasantly refreshing these days with all the films coming out which have lots of plot points that make no sense.Wish I could hang with you guys over some hot chocolate at a coffee shop and talk movies.Great review!
I'm shocked your review hasn't more likes and comments! Great video Guys, thanks for your insights! Love your different angles! When the trailer came on in the theater I was hyped- I m so glad I stopped it at min 25 and just watched your video instead!
I’m 30 minutes into the extended edition on Peacock. I can’t get over how angry Jody is at Colt. He had a horrific accident and broke his back. She keeps saying he hasn’t spoken to her in a year. He probably spent most of that year rehabbing. It makes her come off narcissistic.
I think that the under appreciation of stunt people was a main point of the movie. They are literally seen as disposable by actors as one literally died. I don’t think this movie was super amazing, I agree with a lot of your points. The stunts were amazing, and the story did lack in a lot of places. However, I did find the romance aspect sweet, especially Ryan being so charming. 3/5 for me.
Between Ryan, Winston and Aaron I didn't know where to look 😍❤😂 Movie was a bit long but a lot of fun!! The club scene was really funny. I thought for one sec that the dealer was Oscar Isaac but it wasn't (it would have been fun to see with Ryan after Drive) I didn't really like ATJ's performance in it tbh but I'm mostly a Gosling fan. Don't let the movie flop! 😢
So...Value Tuesday, Discount Popcorn and Pep. Gummy uh worms. Got it. I just remembered, when I first saw the trailer I thought Zoolander but action. Does it give a little of that or no?
It is an "action" piece I guess honoring Lee Majors role, and style. I've only known of his fame as the Six Million Dollar Man. May be the trailer could have revealed his cameo to interest older fans!
Loved Goslings performance here. The director did a great job giving him Movie Star Moments. Jokes, closeups, slowmo action set pieces. He really stood out to me and I think he is in a great groove in regards to likeability. Emily Blount has never looked better to me, than here in Fall Guy. She is beautiful, her husband is a blessed man. I needed a place to rant a bit about Aaron Taylor Johnson. I have seen these Cameo's done SO much better. Hank Azaria in Americas Sweethearts specifically showed me what a good Cameo looks like. I found ATJ's performance to be actually awful. Not in a funny, way. He was just not doing a good job Comedically for my taste and even his Douchebag moments were just flat and not good. He actually ruined this movie from scoring in the high Eights for me. I give this a 7.9 with a simple miscast as the culprit. Having to watch this actors performance culminate in the 3rd act, was a huge let down. He just did not do a good job here for my taste. No longer a fan of his, and he grew on me in Bullitt Train. Thanks as always to the Reviewers. Very enjoyable video.
I just don’t understand… is it possible to get filler that looks good? I feel like it HAS to be… but then why do all these rich and famous people look so ridiculous? Do they even know they look ridiculous? Like a ridiculous copy of someone else. I’m so over the fugly same/same face every woman over 22 with disposable income is morphing into.
Yes, but it requires a good injector who knows what they are doing. If done right, you can't see it. Many injectors are not very skilled. That is when you see it.
Yes. That’s why there are people who have it and we don’t flag it, because we can’t tell. The issue is overdoing it. Think of it like body dysmorphia. They don’t see a true reflection of what they look like, so they keep asking their doctor to inject more, not realizing they stopped looking human or like themselves.
@@simplyrowen Lip fillers seem to be the hardest to do properly, and the most problematic in terms of turning otherwise attractive people into bizarre caricatures. I'm thinking more about TikTok influencers here but there's also far too much of this particularly ghastly work being done in Hollywood.
Dang! Was looking forward to this; well, we'll give it a toss; we'll see. thanks for your insights! Plot sounds like a botch; didn't care for Bullet Train either....sigh
I finally saw this…yeah this film did not work for me at all. Some of it is amusing, an action romp as they say but the problem is the plot and the whole scenario is wildly implausible . Gosling is fine, Blunt is good…actors are not the problem. Note : I think they stole the highly trained dog idea responding to one command from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood….its very tv movie like too…which I guess figures! Thanks.
I don’t think Emily Blunt is a nice person. There’s an interview of her mocking her waitress who was apparently overweight. She seems really rude to me.
I saw the ballerina vampire movie recently, and I had to cover my ears for a good part of it and left with a headache. Now, I'm wary to go to the theater. I even waited until the ballerina vampire movie was shown in the regular theatre, but the movie was still too loud. As a kid, theaters had two speakers in the back, and it was enough. Watching a movie at home is more enjoyable these days. I wanted to see Fallguy, but I can't bear another skull splitting experience. Sigh.
Aaron Taylor Johnson was giving me Matthew McConaughey vibes during his big speech.
Although he doesn't usually do much for me, ATJ absolutely nailed that MMcC impression!

Emily blunts filler is so distracting, and she doesn’t need it. It took me right out of Oppenheimer. There weren’t plastic looking faces back then.
Thank you! Gosling has had filler overwork done as well. Joseph could easily replace Wiggery Watch with Filler Fails for several many of these stars…
@@wheedoothat and the fake look of the film is putting me off of wanting to watch. Urgh.
I love the filmographies of both Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling, and I too wish that they'd both lay-off the fillers!

Thank you!
Happy May! Thank you for your wonderful content! 👏
Thank you!

Joseph, you are so right about the filler/botox. I was shocked when I saw the trailer. I swear at first I didn't recognize her!

This is definitely something I'll watch when it's streaming.
I wasn't sold on Ryan Gosling until I saw Barbie. I really enjoyed his version of Ken!
My head couldn't wrap around how convoluted it was. An hour cut would have been nice.

Lee Majors is still around???? Maybe he really is the bionic man!
I feel bad because I thought he died like 10 years ago. Ooops!!
👌 Excellent point about stunt people being left out of the Oscars! They definitely deserve representation there.
Bummer... was hoping this would be better. Will still go see it!
Excellent logical analysis , ta !
Did Nick just call Stephanie Hsu as Hannah Shu? 😅🫠
Obviously he misspoke and mixed Hannah Waddingham with Stephanie Hsu. 😢 He's still adorable though ❤

I don't care. I'm seeing it!!! It is an unapologetic popcorn movie! Sounds like a blast.
It's very fun, I loved it (just a bit long tho)
@@Bexinnamon I also loved it - enough to see it twice at the cinema - and I am keen for the extended version!
So glad you guys reviewed this movie.❤

Emily Blunt ruined her face and it’s distracting her acting ability because she isn’t a bad actress
Great episode

I know I’m late but I just watched this. You were spot on about everything. Especially the romance. I wasn’t feeling that chemistry at all 😒.
I think the post it is a reference to A Beautiful Mind, not Momento
They actually reference Memento in a line in the film.
I think I leaned towards Nick rating but I agree with both love story didn’t really feel it😊
I thought the same, Emily and Ryan, Nah not believable.
Great review guys, movie is simply too long for this kind of story definitely not watching this movie again
This review! 😂😂😂
Yeah.I'd also give it a 2 out of 5 or a 4 out of 10.

The trailer looks meh. Yall confirmed it
Y'all didn't review King Tide?
Even the memento reference makes no sense, the main character in memento never uses post it notes. Terrible writing.
The love story made the move boring, their scenes felt too long. It worked better as a straight actuon movie.
I'm only gonna watch it to look at Ryan and Aaron plus some stunt action thrown in. So I should like it enough I guess.
I know it's supposed to have been a romance but I enjoy it when it was an action Going on and mysteries and twist The romance kind of made it boring.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was a better love-letter to stuntmen than this movie.

Shot out to Jon and Ponch, 2 of my earliest TV crushes!! 📺🥰

Didn’t hate it.
👍
Not ‘sometimes her filler, her botox looks fresh’! 🤣
I don’t think Emily Blunt is a nice person. There’s an interview of her mocking her waitress who was apparently overweight. She seems really rude to me.
I enjoyed the movie but it was way too long. 1hr 45min would’ve been just right
Yet, after seeing it twice at the theatre, I'm hanging out for the extended version!
If it was faster moving it would have been better.

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ oUt Of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”.
Did NOT enjoy this one
I had the opportunity to go see it for free and passed. Watched this instead and glad I did.
She's too feisty imo like too much of herself and I think ever since Sicario the movie I just stopped liking her cause I think she's like that IRL
Oooh
If this flops….
Why does Joseph always ask “do I know this directors movie” you’re on letterbox just do a 2 second click 😂
