    Great! thanks for uploading! I had underestimated LG machines for quite some time, but what I can see is that they are much better than I had imagined!

      I can honestly say this is the first time in a long time that I have been impressed by a manufacturer caring about the consumer more than the bank balance it will pay off for them in the long term. General public is far too fed up with built-in obsolescence and consumerism.

    Thanks for this, what is the secret for getting the split ring back on the rubber door seal ? Easy enough to get off but tough to get back on?

    And according to lg uk this model qualifies for 5 year part labour. Motor 10.

    I have a lg direct drive 8kg 1400 spin with turbo wash and smart thinq FH4U2 range
    It’s really good machine in my opinion and everything is easily accessible.
    The only thing I don’t like is the spin won’t spin certain items or mini loads where as the standard 8kg 1400 spin beko in work will spin anything I put in it really and won’t take long to balance it out, where as LG will take 10 mins to even get going sometimes that’s the only thing that really annoys me. But if it’s got a full load it has no issues and everything comes out clean and well spun.
    And it’s a lot quieter than the brushless motor in the beko I think it’s great.
    I had a old lg intello washer 7kg years ago back when I was starting out in 2001/2002
    It lasted about 8 9 years till the drum went and it got stuck a lot on rinse but served me well till it wouldn’t go no more and started leaking. So I hope this one lasts the same..

      From what I am seeing on the build quality, I think it's a reasonable machine. At least the manufacturer on this brand is thinking about the consumer with regards parts, identifiable and bearings changeable @colinsace1 please remember to subscribe to our channel as that really helps us th-cam.com/users/shortse432SAb2g08 Thanks, Paul 👍

    I really like LG machines but the only issue with them is when they get older the suspension legs start to rattle. I’ve had it on 2 LG machines, they start to sound like tractors on spins, but other than that, they are very durable machines.

      @How-to-repair  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I will be doing a video on the suspension legs shortly, and I do agree that they wear out a little bit more than other machines. They're not that expensive, but it is an issue that I am aware of. there's a full playlist on LG machines with every bit of knowledge that I can put together th-cam.com/video/w5dZ4Pj8Jdo/w-d-xo.html it's always really helpful, if you are able to share the information as I'm not an IT Guru like some of the other TH-camrs and I don't get seen as much in the search as I should because of this

      I looked at my new hisense and noticed the pins are well lubed so there wont be a slack hole at the suspension mounting points in the future

    regarding the black weight attached, are those plastic filled with water or something or cast iron or something else?

    • @How-to-repair
      @How-to-repair  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Normally they are concrete covered in plastic to stop any chafing of the wires, but I haven't taken them off on the new one yet as this will be done in the door seal video few days time for that. Sorry. Just mark the playlist to your favourite, then you will have the video to hand when you need it @sadiporter2966 please remember to subscribe to our channel as that really helps us th-cam.com/users/shortse432SAb2g08 Thanks, Paul 👍

      It is a concrete covered in plastic coating. It's same for LG and Samsung washers and it's their biggest design flaw. Concrete inside is very poor quality and tends to break apart around the time when you're done with your 2 year warranty, usually also cracking pieces of the tank which are supposed to support that weight. Sometimes it can be repaired with epoxy if you catch it early, when the washer starts banging like crazy during spin cycle. But if that conrete flies away mid cycle... that's catastrophic failure which isn't worth fixing.

    Would you say that LG are better overall than Bosch?

    • @How-to-repair
      @How-to-repair  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They both make reasonable quality machines, but here is my opinion.
      Bosch versus LG ?
      It's hard for me to say which company is better. LG tries to make machines that are easy to repair. You can split the drum on an LG machine, and they put part numbers on all their components.
      Bosch, on the other hand, seems to have lost their way. They used to be known for quality, but now it's harder to repair their machines. Bosch doesn't give consumers workshop manuals or wiring diagrams, unlike LG. Also, Bosch parts are very expensive. I don't know why Bosch is doing this, but it might be because they own a big part of the market.

      Hi mate sorry to hear that you have a problem. LG is relatively new to Northern Europe but for me they are quite impressive. They put genuine part numbers on components and make drums accessible for bearing replacement. However, this does not guarantee that you won't have any issues with the brand and its machines of course.
      You can use our contact us page to share your problems with your appliances. I will need the full model number of the identification plate and the details of your problem so that I can provide you with useful literature. A video shoot of the problem would be perfect as well.
      I will get back to you within 24 hours, normally. www.how-to-repair.com/help/contact-us/

    So far I've only seen one common fault on this type of lg - dispenser hose close to side panel + attached to door seal... We know what that means. Few of those hoses already replaced.

      @How-to-repair  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for the information I was talking about it in the video I just thought it was a bit narrow, just out of curiosity, where is it wearing? Is it rubbing against the side panel and then leaking?

    • @danielmielnik9000
      @danielmielnik9000 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@How-to-repair yes , rubbing against side panel , base panel doesn't help with noticing that there is a problem... At least replacing hose fairly straight forward job.
