You make irrational decisions when you’re adrenaline is high, the event is fresh in your mind, and you’re looking for revenge. Tre had some time in the car to contemplate what his next actions would be. How they would affect him and his life if he went forward with them. He collected himself and decided this not the path for him.

    • @IsaiahRichards692
      @IsaiahRichards692 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Bro, this had nothing to do with Ricky! Ricky was dead, irreversibly, and nothing would bring him back! This was about respect and answering an insult! The only question Tre needed to ask was whether his pride was more important than his future!

When I was growing up, dealers tried to be a little more incognito and not as easy to spot as those in a gang. Because the moment the wrong people find out, it becomes harder for them to do their thing. The biggest reason people in a gang made it clear they were in one was so people wouldn't try anything stupid and depending on the individual, a vain attempt at forced respect.
The times that they were both. They were usually the ones who got pinched or worse.

2 divine moments that caught my attention as I got older watching this film..
    1. Ferris mentions and compares his hair to Samson, which is a biblical reference of a favorite of God, who God made incredibly strong based on his hair never being cut. It shows that even in the mist of crime, murder & gang life, these folks were probably educated on the spiritual way of God, yet they could never set their minds free to it.
    2. The most powerful thing I could notice is that when Tre was in the car having time to recollect, Furious was meditating with his “balls” lol. The point is this, everything Tre heard from Furious was flowing through his head, and in turn Furious was probably mentally trying to force everything he has said/taught to Tre while meditating. Once Tre got out the car, as soon as the door shuts and he pulls off, Furious stops moving the balls. It’s like all of those lectures and lessons worked in that moment, and Furious felt it that it did in that very moment.

Certainly hits close to home watchin' this scene.
I lost a really good friend I grew up with due to a fight at a party the night before and my homie going back to retaliate the next day to only have his life cut short right before his college graduation.
After we lost him (now 20 years), it took a group of us to not do what we really wanted to, which was clap back at those responsible.
Each of us in a similar position of Tre but we let our common sense prevail.
It took the advice of our parents & role models over the years - and I thank them because not sure wheee we would be had we gone that route.
    Peace & Blessings... ✌🏾

Then, the audacity to say you didn't pull the trigger like you didn't facilitate it. You can tell Dough was on edge when he came up on the last guybecause he struggled to talk at first. Zero hesitation after the guy mouthed off. so really, it’s just peer pressure?
when Ferris bumped into Rick and Rick retaliated, it bruised his ego a little bit. But i think it was soothed when he did all that shooting in the air and had Rick them scrambling away, scared for their lives.
Then that fateful day when he saw Rick coming from the store, I don’t think he had any intention of doing him harm. Until knucklehead said something. He probably did not want to be disrespected as a their leader so he just went with it and chased him down. He even stopped when he saw Rick and Tre cutting through that alley, almost giving up the chase but the other guy kept just forcing things.
Why not stand up for yourself man? As a leader, you could have easily shut all that stuff down, now it’s a never ending chain of murders around the hood😭

I just realized when they dropped Trey off, Dookie was in the back seat. In the next scene, he was in the front seat. Never noticed that.

    Helpful hint no 1
NEVER load your mags without gloves on , you leave finger prints on the brass

When I watched this scene as a kid I always wondered if Tre heard his dad making that clacking noise with the Two metal balls because as soon as Tre changed his mind and got out the car his dad stopped making the noise and I always would wonder if his dad was trying to contact him on purpose and it wasn’t just a coincidence 🤣💯
