For $25 AUD from Amazon you can buy a cheap sensor alarm that you change sensitivity on, works pretty good I have 2 for 300 rally and gsx8s, I have a disc lock that I carry but i live in a safe area and haven't used it yet.
Just grabbed one for like you said - some additional deterrence for the rare times I do have it parked somewhere somewhat vulnerable.
