he also said in an interview (or on a pod idr which) that if he could he'd go back and undo it he would because of how much it fucked him up financially
This album is a huge grower. I used to not love it but after listening to Danny Brown's other albums and getting to know him better as an artist it has become one of my favorite albums of all time. its literally insane
I actually found f11 after you, both of yall make S tier content so the mutual appreciation is so great to see. Sorry I’m not as consistent as I’ve been, man. You know I love ya tho ❤️
you absolutely need to check out The Mars Volta's "Frances the Mute." Long, winding prog rock opera with the perfect blend of strange, weird, experimental, and catchy.
I pre-liked the video because I knew it was gonna be fiya. This album is definitely in contention for Top 20, if not Top 10, hip hop albums of all time. It speaks to truth and is so unfiltered and honest about the perils of that kind of lifestyle. It doesn't speak to me directly, as I try to keep out of that shit, but it reminds me of my abusive ex-step-father and how much drugs affected his life and the cycle of trauma and abuse it can create; he was taken from his mom because she was perpetually strung-out. It's easily a 10/10 in terms of message, even if the musical aspect of it can be less than perfect at times and around a 9/10 overall. Speaking of top albums, the album with no contention for my number 1 album of all time, as it's the clear winner, is Ys by Joanna Newsom. You said a long time ago that you would get around to it, and I think June or July 2024 is the time, my boy! Love you, Smags.
Great album. Posting my list again. Please react to any when you get the time. Primus - Frizzle Fry Faith No More - Angel Dust Mr Bungle - California The Jesus Lizard - GOAT
Fuck yeah one of my faves album of all time. Lost is one of the most unique sounding songs I’ve ever heard. BEGGING you to listen to by the time I get to phoenix by Injury Reserve
I think the next album for you is Some Rap Songs by Earl Sweatshirt. He’s the guy who had the final verse in Really Doe. It’s a really depressing project
this is the best reaction for me to beg you to listen to THEIR MONEY IS YOUR MONEY by 1 800 PAIN its also in the same vein with similar influences as like something like death grips while still being quite unique
also you are by far my favorite person doing reactions on youtube i love how varied your choices are as someone who has a broad music taste its insane to see you reacting to pet sounds and atrocity exhibition
"this is the best day ever" - molly 5 minutes ago
This is the greatest crossover of all time
the crossover we didnt know we needed
f11 sent me here :)

Danny Brown spent so much money on samples on this project that it nearly made him bankrupt 😥😥
he also said in an interview (or on a pod idr which) that if he could he'd go back and undo it he would because of how much it fucked him up financially

When this came out we were all so gagged that on a song with Danny, Kendrick, and Ab-Soul, the best verse award went to Earl.
I love this album so much, timeless classic, essential art.

This album is so incredible. All the songs sound totally unique. It's very experimental, but all the experiments succeeded.
Amazing album!! Danny brown
Would you possibly consider reacting to Nurture by Porter Robinson before his new album comes out 🥺
He should listen to nurture, then wait a few years so he gotta go through the pain we did
One of my favorite albums of all time, potentially my favorite because of how much it means to me personally.

I first listened to this album across several days while mowing and in the car on vacation, which gives it a very odd vibe to me
YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!
The ain't it funny music video is a must. It's massive
I RECOMMENDED THIS LIKE PROBABLY 6 TIMES MAYBE
the name of the album is actually from a song off Joy Division's Closer, Ian Curtis' posthumous album. I definitely recommend checking out Closer!
Closer > Unknown Pleasures
@@famousashtray they both have their place, I personally enjoy unknown pleasures a bit more but closer is very close behind
Ain't it Funny has this Tom Waits vibe that makes it the total standout, in my opinion.
